H's best friend is coming to visit this weekend, and I almost wish his wife was coming with so I could slap her. She told H's BF that we deserved the m/c because H doesn't deserve to be a dad.

I also wrote Mr & Mr's M on their wedding card just to spite her because she told her H 2 days before the wedding that she didn't want to take his last name (he wasn't very happy about this). So I was sure to say, "congratulations Mrs. M" after the ceremony.

Yes, I know and understand these are b*itch moves on my part.

She has caused so much pain and hurt for H that I can't even look at her straight in the face. I had to put on a fake smile and personality at their wedding 3 weeks ago, and act like I was happy about it. While H was up there trying not to break down from her comment about our m/c (that had just happened that week), and her remarks about him standing in their wedding.

DH's best man, S, and I don't get along very well, more so since he started dating his now-fiancee, M. DH has been talking lately about wanting out of their wedding because he doesn't like S when he's with M, and S never wants to hang out except with M.

Anyway, DH and S are trying to patch things up now by doing something with just the two of them. I am secretly very disappointed.

On another note, I feel like my FFCs are always confusing stories. Sorry about that.

There are so many flameful things I want to say to her.

The hardest part is that H's BF is an amazing friend! The day we found out we lost the baby, he drove down (2 hrs away) to surprise us at our house and to just be there with us. He's the only person H has cried with about our loss, and he is that type of friend that even calls me just to chat. So I never want to say things to his wife that would hurt him. It's a very difficult fine line we have to walk, and we know she is very controlling and would be the type to tell him that he can't come see us anymore.

We were up there last year on New Years (when he proposed to her), and H said "that's retarded." Then looked at her and said sorry, that's not what he meant by it and he hoped it didn't hurt her feelings and it wasn't directed toward anyone or anything. It was just a figure of speech. She told him that it is a word that shouldn't even be in his vocabulary, and she's hated him ever since.

I'm not saying my H is perfect by any means, but he realized what he said may have offended her so he apologized.

@brij2006, I am in SHOCK over everything you're just written about her. I don't care what kind of person she is otherwise, all her actions described make her the most loathsome person in my book. Saying those things and acting that way is just despicable! She seriously deserves anything you could think up for her.

It's unbelievable that someone as obviously caring and supportive as YH's BF would be associated with someone like her, let alone marry her. I'm so sorry you guys have to deal with her hateful behavior. I wish D's BF would grow a pair and put her in her place re: you two.

You know what? I agree that the phrase "that's retarded" or referring to things as "retarded" is insensitive and shouldn't happen, but he realized he was in the wrong as soon as it came out of his mouth and he apologized for it. She is being entirely irrational by holding such a hateful grudge against him for one slip in his speech. Especially since he immediately apologized for it.

@nfp147 I never thought of that, and that honestly makes a lot of sense. She liked my H when they first got together. Then as time went on she was completely against him and wanted nothing to do with us. But in the first year of their relationship we would see them about once a month and even went on vacations with them. Then it took a complete 180 turn and we received a text message from H's BF on what we can and can't say in front of her on New Years last year (the day he proposed).

I also know that she doesn't approve of the friendship her H and I have. We went skydiving together, have been on multiple vacations with him, I helped design her engagement ring, helped him plan their first date from start to finish, vented to him when H and I had a rough patch in our relationship, and he saw me off at the airport when I left for London for 6 weeks. He's more than just H's BF, he's been a part of our lives for a long time, and him and H lived together for 3 years. He's pretty much a brother to me, and I don't think she likes that.

So what you said makes complete sense.
