I got a new lens for my camera that DH got me last year. I can now zoom in! So exciting! One gift that I just didn't care for were these 2 button downs that DH got me which just look hideous but I don't have the heart to tell him.

Best gift: DH gave me an All-Clad roasting pan that I love so much.

Worst gift: MIL gave me a battery operated nail filer that I can't ever use because my nails are way too fragile for it. No gift receipt so I can't return it either.

We send each other lists and everyone on both sides of our families stick to the lists, so my gifts were all great.

Beautiful, nfp!! Yay for the roasting pan, islandmonkey! And woohoo for being able to zoom in with your new camera lens, sewilson! Hahaha.

Best gift: DH bought me a new laptop. I've been trying to figure out what I wanted for months, and just recently decided on a laptop (not a convertible or a tablet or other device). I told him multiple times not to buy something for me, because I didn't want him spending that much. Well, he (of course) didn't listen, and I opened up a new Lenovo ThinkPad yesterday morning. In terms of specs, it's more than I need and more than I was looking at to buy myself (I was just waiting until after Christmas to pull the trigger on one I'd found). In terms of style...it has none, lol! It's going to be a workhorse of a laptop, and I'm sure performance-wise I will never have a complaint, but it's heavier than I was looking for and totally blah in the looks department. FWP!! LOL!

Worst gift: DH's uncle gave us (and BIL and BIL's gf, despite the fact they don't even live together yet) a holiday salad server set (ie, the salad serving fork/spoon set). Erm...thanks? Hahaha.

Best gift: My card from @bridget0117. I showed it to everyone at my house yesterday (well not Step-SIL but they were late).

2nd Best gift: MIL got me a ton of cookie cutters. Not just Christmas ones, but ones you could use throughout the year. As I opened them my nieces started to squeal "can we bring our aprons (I made them) over and help you make cookies? can we make cookies now? can we stay the night and make them tomorrow?" It was so adorable!

Worst: Big Bang Theory trivia game fan edition. I love Big Bang, but I have the first edition and no one EVER plays with me so what's the point of having it?

My Mom and StepDad got us a new TV for our bedroom which is probably our favorite gift. My Dad gave me a really sweet diamond and white gold angel necklace (he always called me 'baby angel' growing up) so that is definitely the gift that meant the most to me.

My least favorite gift are some sweaters that my MIL and Grand-MIL gave me. They gave me 4 sweaters, and out of the 4 only one of them is something I'd actually wear. Luckily I have gift receipts for the 3 I don't like, so those will be going back this weekend most likely. I feel bad taking them back but they are just too 'old lady' looking for my taste and I know I'll never wear them.

Best Gift: I piece of jewelry from DH.

Worst gift: A purse from my mom. It's for a semi-expensive brand that I don't like anymore. I used to like this brand but it's not trendy anymore and I feel badly that my mom spent money on it.

Worst Gift: A holiday snowman serving tray. It's cute, I just have no place to store it. Blah.

Best gift: an Alex and Ani bracelet from my step son and really nice perfume from DH. Also the new slippers and bathrobe from DH; I really needed them and they're super comfy!

Worst gift: a GC to BBB from SIL and her bf. Not that it will go to waste, but it was supposed to buy stuff for the new house that we are no longer able to buy. They got DH one for Home Depot. Not that they weren't generous or thoughtful and not that we can't still use them; it just stung a bit.

All of my gifts were awesome. A few that topped it would be the Pandora bracelet from DH, hardcover set of Harry Potter series from my parents, a set of hard luggage from ILs, and a VERY generous check from DH's grandma to put towards our vacation this summer.

@pandpmeant2be, what happened with the house?? (If I'm having a brain fart moment, pardon me, I honestly can't remember if you mentioned anything about it after saying you were going to be getting it).

Long story short, the mortgage company was a bunch of dickheads and approved us for $12k less than what they prequalified us for. Knowing what I know now, it seems the original amount was never actually attainable, so they screwed us over by telling us we should proceed with our offer. It obviously wasn't meant to be but I'm still angry about they way we were treated.

Best Gift - H got me some brown riding boots and a coach purse. Love both! He did an awesome job.

Worst gift - MIL got me thongs. This is the second time she's gotten them for me and I know she means well, but it's just a little awkward. They are pretty cute though, so she gets points for that.

@Aimothy - which perfume? I bought Honey at Sephora a few weeks ago. I love it! Best - my parents bought us a Breville YouBrew coffee maker. I love the thing. I'm not drinking coffee right now, but I had a sip of some last night, and I'm so glad we are rid of the Keurig! DH bought me diamond earrings. Worst - DH's mom gave him personalized coasters that say. "DH's Bar." Cute, if we were still in college or actually had a bar. Since we're both pushing 30 and go to bed at 9:30, they just look like we're pathetically trying to hold on to our youth.

Best: Windows tablet from DH, salt & pepper grinder/Misto set from my parents (IN RED!!!!!).

Worst: MIL gave us a talking parrot toy (since DH has been talking about wanting birds), gave me soap that smells horrid, and I got a stationary/book readers set from my mom (don't get me wrong, I love reading...but I have no where to put it).

Favorite: The ornament from @nightmare_of_beauty

Least Favorite: It isn't a bad gift, but every year I give SMIL a list of items that are on sale at Black Friday. One of the items on the list this year was a sweater by the brand Energie that was in the juniors section. I noted to get me an XL because their brands run very snug . She bought me a Small. Um, I don't even wear a small in regular brands.

Wow...sounds like everyone got some really nice gifts!

I was really lucky this year in that I love all the gifts I received. My absolute favorite though has to be the Cuisinart food processor my DH got me! I have been wanting one for a really long time. He even got a little case that holds all the different blades to go with it.

Best: I asked DH for a new watch, and he got me one. Nothing super fancy, but something that I wanted.

Worst: DH decided that I needed new comfy pants. And he got me a pair, except in the wrong size. It will be an easy return, though! He also got me chocolate covered cherries, which I hate and he loves! I think it was a gift for him!!!

I loved everything I got this year! DH got me a pretty necklace, my dad got me an elephant statue (I can't wait to put it in our new house!), my mom gave us some nice new towels for our new house, and I got a lot of other stuff I really liked!

Merry Christmas everyone!!

My mom paid for our hotel in New Orleans in February so that is probably my favorite gift! She also bought me a ton of clothes I wanted and a really nice Estee Lauder makeup set. I also got a bunch of gift cards.

Tom and I only did stocking for each other since we're doing N.O. so son and we also bought ourselves a 60" Smart TV on Black Friday.

Least fave: Everything from MIL. Tacky. Oh well, the thought was there and I'm very spoiled and blessed. :-)

I loved all of my gifts, but I will have to return 2 or 3 Favorites: my dad got me a ruby necklace with an inscription on the back that says "Yesterday my little girl, today my friend, always my daughter" and DH got me a steelers jersey with our last name on it (fortunately there is a former player with our name, so it wasn't super expensive) and a pair of Clark's wave shoes. Ones I need to return: MIL got me a pair of easy spirit clogs, but the foot doctor advised me to avoid open back shoes so I will exchange them for a different style, Our niece gave me an expansion set for the board game MIL gave me (ticket to ride) but it is a different version so I will need to exchange it as well, and DH got me a strap for my bassoon that I really needed but it has the wrong attachment so we need to see if we can adapt it, or if it also needs to be exchanged.

I love all my gifts, especially my new ninja blender from my mom, and the date night package (movie tickets, Starbucks card and dinner) from MIL!

I also got lots of clothes and shoes. Pretty excited about that since barely any of my clothes anymore.

I got a milk warmer/frother and I'm in love with it! I need to ease off my Starbucks addiction in the new year and with this I don't have to go again and it does a great job on almond milk too so that's awesome. DH got me pearl earring which are perfect. I didn't get anything bad this year. I just got a ton of small appliances so I need a bigger kitchen to store them all. I ended up with a magic bullet, a juicer, the steamer and a Soda Stream. I asked for them all, but I don't have anymore room!

Do you mean like underwear? LOL, that would be way awkward! Best: DH and I are putting some money into our home gym (his idea), so kind of a gift for both of us. Not so great: My little brother, who now lives in Australia, bought us a bed/mattress warmer thing... DH and I already get hot at night with the thermostat set at 67, so this went back to the store... Got some great new sneakers though instead!

H got me an iPad mini, a set of Dexter coasters (they're blood slides that come in a wooden box! if only we had an air vent to store them in... lol) and two shirts from the chive. Also, he mentioned a trip to NYC in April! Woohoo!!

My most favorite present ever was mailing off my last payment to Sallie Mae though.

Best gift: A beautiful wooden advent calendar from DH, and a Julep mystery box (the 'diamond' one! It had 5 polished and three other things. Awesome.) MIL gave me two really pretty frames for photo collages.

There wasn't really anything I didn't like. I make a Pinterest board of things I'm interested in, though, and DH and my parents tend to pull ideas from there.

I also got a milk frother/warmer and I am totally in love with it! I was tired of my coffee getting cold when I added creamer. FWP. Worst would be the leather dog desk caddy from my MIL. That was returned today.
