Happy Last Friday of 2013! What are you reading?

How do you like it so far? Is it for any if the challenges or just fun? Was 2013 a great year or a not so great year for you?

Origin (Lux #4) by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Overall this series is just okay but they're quick, entertaining reads. It's #48/50 for the year. I think I'm going to make it!!!

2013 was an amazing year. We've had so much fun watching our little dude grow and we've made a lot of really positive, exciting decisions for our future.

  • I'm reading 'The Fiery Heart' by Richelle Mead. It's okay so far. It's #87 for the year. I wanted to make it to 90 but that probably won't happen.

2013 was a great year. There were some sad times but overa it was awesome.

  • I'm reading Siege and Storm and listening to The Lioness Rampant.  Both are excellent!  If I finish these two, which I think I will, I will have hit 80 for the year.  I have far surpassed my goal of 52.

This year has been interesting!  We've had a lot of ups and downs, but watching Wes go from infant to toddler has been really cool to watch.  I can't wait to see what the next year has in store for us.

  • Listening to Maybe This Time and still reading a Joanne Fluke.
I have no idea where I am at for the year.
This year has had its ups and downs but it was all worth it for the little one in my arms right now and moving to where we want to be. Hopefully 2014 is just as good.
  • Just started Clockwork Princess this morning. It's 75/75 for the year. Looks like I'll make my goal.

This year has been incredibly stressful after moving across the country, starting a new job, etc. I'm looking forward to 2014 being a quieter year.
    75 Books in 2015?

    It's slippery as waterweed.
  • I am reading Tell the Wolves I'm Home and Hyperbole and a Half. They are 130 and 131 for the year.

I think that 2013 was kind of crappy for me. It was the year my divorce was final, which I thought would feel like some sort of closure but has not. I did a lot of hard work in therapy, but the downside to that is that I spent a large portion of the year processing some uncomfortable emotions. I did get into a great routine at the gym and have been working out more regularly than I ever have, and I also found an awesome yoga studio, which has been amazing. I am trying to look toward 2014 with some optimism and hope...looking forward to some good things ahead.

  • I am reading Blackout (Newsflesh #3) by Mira Grant.  And Wilson (Woodrow Wilson bio) by A. Scott Berg.  They are books 91 and 92 for the year.

2013 was not the greatest year, between Booney dying in July and dad spending the majority of the month of November in the hospital.  I hope 2014 will be better.
    90 books in 2015?

  • Listening to The Exiled Queen (Seven Realms #2), and enjoying it.  I think I have a pretty good idea where the series is going to go, and sometimes the way folks talk annoys me, but overall, I like the series so far, and I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the books.

I'm reading Allegiant.  I'm about 1/3 through, and I'm glad to have some things sorted out, but I seriously cannot keep up with all the characters.  So I generally don't even bother trying.  I'm enjoying the alternating view points (was that in the other books too, or were they just from Tris's POV?).  But I kind of feel like I could take or leave the book.

I'm also reading Horns, which I set aside to read Allegiant, because I own Horns and Allegiant is from the library.  I'm completely loving this one.  I guess it's not really supposed to be funny, but I keep finding myself laughing at the way other people react to Ig.

2013 was pretty good for me too.  Nothing spectacular, but everyone is safe and healthy, so that's gotta be a good sign, right?

Still reading Allegiant (27).  I should hopefully finish it up before the year ends.  I actually think it's better than I thought it would be because of all the bad reviews on here.  We'll see how the ending goes though...

I also started Stardust on my new Kindle :)  It's probably #1 for next year.

2013 wasn't really good or bad.  Nothing major went on, I just read slow.  Next year I should be able to read more though, since DH will be deployed.

  • I am just finishing up Seven Minutes in Heaven and I am enjoying. It is the last book in The Lying Game series and I am happy that I finally get to find out who did it.  I also just started this morning Killed which is a Pretty Little Liars book.  These are #98 and 99 for the year.  I'm hoping to get to 100 but not sure if I can get there by Tuesday!

2013 was a very busy year but on the most part a good one for us.  I'm hoping to get a little more organized in 2014 as I think it is going to be just as busy but we'll see how motivated I am!

I just finished An Unlikely Witch and The Fiery Heart.  Loved the first.  All I can say about the second is WTF?

I'm listening to Rogue Rider now.

I'm not sure how 2013 was as a whole.  There were a lot of low points and a few high ones.  I'm still in a state of upheaval since we're not sure what we're doing with a potential move.

    My favorite Cake Wreck ever.

  • I'm listening to Something Wick This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury.  I think it's a decent book but the narrator is kind of whiny so I don't think I'm enjoying listening to it as much as I would I had a read it.

I am reading Heist Society, I've read a lot of long serious books lately so I'm enjoying this short silly read.

My year has been so-so. I can't think of anything particularly huge that happened either good or bad.

I'm reading A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness. This is #50 out of 50. Yay! I hope to have time to finish it before the year is up!

2013 has been filled with plenty of obstacles.  There were multiple lows but the highs were magnificent.  I've struggled with a lot of things this year but I feel like I'm finally in a good place and at peace with what has been thrown at me.  I know 2014 has great things in store for me.

  • I'm reading Stardust (which I need to finish to meet my goal of 52 for the year) and still listening to Sugar, Salt, Fat.

2013 was a year of roller coaster rides for us.  We got our precious little Bella Bean (our rescue dog) at the beginning of the year but then ran into some home ownership woes and family stuff but I feel like we are back at it and ready to make 2014 our bitch.

  • I'm still reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, it is # 79 for the year, I hope to finish it this weekend.

I started The Walking Dead Vol. 17: Something to Fear last, I read 2 pages and passed out, it will be #80.

I made my goal of 75 but I would like to hit 80.

  • I am listening to The Thirteenth Tale.  I'm about halfway through, and I have no idea if  I like it.  I'm reading Love Bites, which is just fluff.  If I finish these two, and I should, I will make my goal of 200 for the year.
  • I'm about to start Hunted by Karen Robards. It's a book MIL bought me and wants to read together. It'll be #41 for the year if I finish in time.

This year was the busiest and most stressful year that I've had in a while. I had three difficult semesters of grad school plus two part time jobs through my graduate program. I'm tired. I'm ready for a new year. I didn't read as many books as last year but I honestly just didn't have the time, ever. I'm hoping this new year will be much smoother, even though I'm guaranteed to be even more stressed through at least July (graduation).

  • Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn.  I'm halfway through and I love it so far, but I think I've figured out the killer.

  • I started Matched this morning.  It's good so far.

2014 can get here fast in my opinion.  2013 was a very rough year and I'm very hopeful that 2014 will be a better year.

  • I'm reading The Bat by Jo Nesbo and listening to Escape from Camp 14 by Blaine Harden. The Bat is a little slow even thought a lot has happened. I just started Camp 14, it's good so far.

I've hit my reading goal for the year, it's way more than I ever thought I could read.

This year was meh. Nothing bad happened but nothing good did either. I'm hoping 2014 will be better.

  • Oh my goodness!  after 3 billion attempts to log-in I actually was able to remember what my log-in was.

I'm on books 20, 21, 22 for the year.  Slow year for me but I was still adjusting to a new baby in the beginning of this year and hadn't gotten back into my reading groove.

Currently reading The Rape of Nanking.  I'm only 13% into it and still trying to figure out if I like it.  It's not bad and it is interesting but I'm still on the fence.

Also reading The Fault in Our Stars.  It is an easy read, not my type of book but I'm giving it a try.  I started to get annoyed with it yesterday.

Listening to The Racketeer by John Grisham.  It's good so far.  I like most of Grisham's books so I was really looking forward to finally getting to this one.

I have two other books I started reading but put them aside for now while I finsih up these.

2013 has been OK.  Had some hard moments but mostly it has been good.

  • I was reading Valley of Amazement by Amy Tan... halfway through and I had to return it to the library. Now I'm in suspense! 2013 was the best and worst year ever.

  • I'm rereading the HG series.  I finished Hunger Games last night and started Catching Fire this morning.  It's 49/52 for me.  Going to be a very close call.. largely dependent on DS taking nice long naps for the next few days lol!

2013 has been a pretty good year.  It's definitely had it's moments, but overall it's been good.

109/100 for the year.  I'm hoping to finish this one and one more for 110 total.

2013 was just.... there.  We had a lot of fun times with Audrey but a lot of uncertainty too.  Not sure what 2014 holds for us.
