Working, so I'll be meeting the first 2014 baby in our area :)
If you have to be working, that's not a bad way to spend it.

Have you been "featured" on the news in the background?
I agree. Its not like I would probably be doing anything anyway honestly and I get double pay so its a win in my book.

I try to stay as far away from being on the news as possible :)  I work overnights though and the news usually doesn't come by until day shift.

  • No plans.  H and I both prefer to stay in.  We'll probably get a movie.  I have some goals for this year. We're TTC, but while I am waiting, I am on WW and have lost 25 pounds.  I'd like to keep that going as long as possible.  I also want to update the house - every room needs a little something - paint, new furniture.  I've decided on one change a month.

    Congratulations!  That's amazing!

  • I have to be at work at 6:30 AM on New Year's Day, so I will probably toast the new year at 9:00 PM and head to bed soon after.

  • Getting dressed up and going to a fancy party at our friend's yacht club. (I can't believe I have friends who belong to a freaking yacht club.)

  • Nothing. Staying in and watching a movie. Hopefully I will be asleep at midnight.                             Resolution wise its lose weight and get healthy. I have to spend some time on "me'.
  • We may do dinner with my sister and BIL.  But that's the wildest we'll get.  New Year's Day we're having a Downton Abbey marathon at my mom's house.

  • We have plans with some good friends to go to a late dinner.  By late, I mean 9:00, because that's the earliest we can get reservations. :/  It will be fun though.

My resolutions are the usual: lose weight, be more organized, blah blah blah...  I also plan to read more and post on here more. ;)
    Siggy coming soon....

We're going out to dinner with the in-laws, then going to a party at a friend's house.  We all have little'uns, so everyone is taking the kids in their jammies with blankets and letting them build a nest in their living room.  We'll see if any of them are still awake when the ball drops.
As for resolutions -- I want to finish my mega-purge of the house before May, and finish all of the crafty things I have started or bought the materials for.  It's seriously out of control.

  • SnShne322 Thank you!  This last week was not good for dieting, though.
  • Going to friends. Hopefully L will cooperate but if not it's informal and a short ride home.

  • We're doing nothing and I'm pretty excited about it.

As for resolutions, I'm going to try to get better at photography and really be serious about my gardening this year because every other year we've made a half hearted attempt and fought a losing battle against the deer.

We have a party every year. At it's peak, we usually have around 40-50 people.

I'm going to AW here and show off the present I got DH for Christmas which will have its inauguration tomorrow.

Bought shelves and a ton of new glasses, a chalkboard, and chalk and glass paint markers to make a Vedo Mug Club in our basement. Beginning tomorrow night at the party, people will be able to sign their own glass to keep on these shelves and as soon as DH picks a keg for the kegerator for the party we'll fill in that last line on the chalkboard.

The Vedo Mug Club: New enrollment starts tomorrow evening!

I love this mug club thing! The whole thing looks awesome! DH and I were drooling over how cool the idea is..

  • @ThisModernLove it was so much fun to put together! And relatively easy too. :) We had like a million glasses already and the rest all came from the dollar store. They have a ton of nice beer glasses at Dollar Tree.

  • We are going to our friends' house, where will be having delicious brisket, black eyed peas, greens, and enough booze to kill an elephant.  We have been told to get the fuck out at 12:01, and I'm cool with that.  I also plan on spending most of my night with their pets.  They have a sweet but dumb german shepherd, a sweet and incredibly dumb corgi, a distant cat, and a cuddly ginger kitten.  I can't wait for quality furrypeople time.

  • @mrsvedo that's such an amazing idea!

  • We're not doing much either.  My mom, DD and I are going to stop in an my aunt and uncle's for a bit as another aunt and uncle are in town for a couple of days.  We are going to visit there for a bit and then DD and I are going home for snacks and a movie with DH and DS for the rest of the evening.
