There is so much to resolve I just know there has to be more than one more book.  PRoth needs to get busy because I need to know all of the things about all of the people.

This is why I haven't read WMF.  I ALMOST started it on Monday but then I remembered there was no release date.

I definitely would have held off too if I had realized hoycie.  I'm holding off on A Dance with Dragons for the same reason.

I think part of the fun of series is waiting for the next book, within a reasonable time frame.  Five plus years is not reasonable for me.

I love it that he's so in-touch with us lowly fans through FB, twitter, the conventions, and the general fandom, but on the other hand he just needs to stop doing speaking engagments and signings and updating his blog and frickin' write.

I just have to imagine that PR and GRRM are having a drink somewhere and laughing at all of us.

Even though the wait is killing me, I'd much rather have an awesome book that he publishes when he thinks it's ready rather than a crappy book that's rushed.

  3. According to GR, WMF was first published Jan 2011.  I hardly think that's rushing it at this point.

Listen up PRoth and GRRM - the longest JKR made us wait between books was 3 years*.

Your three years is up, PRoth.

  You're waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overdue, GRRM.

*For inquiring minds, the longest stretch was between GOF and OOTP.

So, I was just on Goodreads and what's the first thing on my feed?  Pat Rothfuss reviewing a book he read.  GO WRITE YOUR BOOK AND STOP READING OTHER PEOPLE'S BOOKS, PAT!!!
