NBR: 2014 Projects/Goals

Re: NBR: 2014 Projects/Goals

  • -Finish my Master's degree and graduate in July.

-Finish decorating. We've been moved in here for over a year and I've been lazy with decorating.

-Live healthier. Not necessarily dieting/exercising, but making healthier choices with food and getting more physical activity in during the week. Having a sit-down job is killing my energy levels.

@moroccojade Can you remind me what is your business?  Sorry, I have a bad memory. :P
@MrsC7 --  We manufacture cosmetic-grade Argan Oil in Morocco.  We are the only international company cold-pressing it by hand using traditional methods.   Time consuming, but the results are worth it.   :)

@moroccojade Oh really? I love Argan oil! Especially in the winter when my hair is super dry. Can you PM me your company info? I love supporting small businesses over Sephora if I can :)

Sure!  I will PM you our web address.

If you like Sephora's brand, you will love ours.  ;)  It hasn't been heated or deodorized so all of the Argan goodness remains completely in tact.

  • Write a new book from start to finish in 2014

Go to CrossFit 4x/week, master a kipping pullup and a confident box jump by my 1-yr anniversary there

Figure out something about my work situation - either get back to HS or figure out how to make MS less terrible

  • 1. Let people read my book
    2. Start the querying/publishing process
    3. Quit drinking soda, be healthier overall
    4. Clean and organize each room in my house. I've done a lot better with this over the last half of 2013 but I'm still in a bit of limbo.
    5. Travel more. So far I have a trip to NYC in the works, but I also hope to go back to Vegas and maybe to San Francisco or Seattle with the princess this year.
    6. Go back to school
    7. Plot, outline, and draft another MS.

  • 1.  Work on being positive. I feel like negativity ruled my thoughts in 2013.
    2.  Communicate better with MH.  We talked about a lot this weekend and it was so nice.  I want to keep working on it.
    3. Travel as much as possible.
    4.  Finish decorating and organizing downstairs of my house.
    5.  I also want to live healthier.  Especially with cooking and more fun outdoor activities.

  • Continue to work on my yoga and learning more about it. I have been teetering on if I should explore becoming an instructor for a while now. Quite frankly an unstructured schedule scares me-in such a person of habit. We have a lot of trips booked for the upcoming year. Continuing to get over the anxiety that came from emergency surgery in Mexico is an ongoing process. It's gotten better during our vacays over the last year since the surgery but I'm hoping by the time London rolls around in April I'll have my anxiety more in check. Put more effort into offering to help family with things like trim moms hedges, trim grandmas roses etc. Be more consistent with housework.
Friday, December 28 2012. The day I had emergency appendix surgery in Mexico and quit smoking. Proof that everything has a good side!! DH and I are happily child-free!! No due date or toddler tickers here!! my read shelf:
