I'm not surprised that the douchebag governor got caught playing with fire.  He's an ass.

Now for my confession.  I'm pissed off at my husband and I don't think he knows it.  He posted something to my timeline about inconsistencies with the HP3 movie and made me watch the video.  That annoyed me because what the narrator was bitching about was actually addressed in the books.  So I said that to him and then posted a response to what he posted like, "The problems he had with the movies are why the books are usually better."

He then posted this long response about it which ended in something stupid about JKR ultimately utilizing the same format at Star Wars blah blah blah.  I'm irritated at him because that's what he does to people that he's trying to intimidate so I told him off on FB.  I'm going to delete the whole thing because I'm furious that he would treat me that way.  And he's not feeling well today so he's going to be sick and mad by the time I'm done yelling at him when I get home.  And I'm annoyed enough to think about deleting my FB altogether because I'm sick of it.

Long story short:  My husband is being an ass today and I'm not putting up with it.
    Punch him.

I bitchslapped him via the phone.  The actual punching will occur when I get home.

  • Apartment searching in NY is like a slow motion bitch slap that I can see coming and can't avoid. I was looking at pics of one apartment the other day and my inner commentary was something like this:

"Okay, it's small. But they all are. Nice picture of the closet. It's a studio. That's okay. Oh, the kitchen is roomy. What's that in the corner? [click to another photo] Oh! That's the bathtub in the corner of the kitchen. Wow."
I write sexy books. I read all the books. I love dresses & macarons.

  • I regret that we moved here three years ago to help out my mother in law with every day things.  Because we moved here, we own two houses.  We are going into foreclosure on the other house because we can't afford to keep paying on a house that we do not live in.  We exhausted our other options and have borrowed too much money from my MIL.
We are there for her pretty much whenever she needs it.  But she constantly brings up the money we owe her.  Yeah, I wish we had stayed in the other house even though it was a crappy house.

  • @Skeezon It's kind of mind-boggling the sacrifices one must make for an NYC apt.  Soon a bathtub in the kitchen won't even raise an eyebrow.

  • Dang I missed the picture!!!

Time for my gripe. We are getting together to do "Christmas" with friends tomorrow. 6 adults, 5 girls. The adults used to exchange gifts until the kids were born. Now we've just been buying presents for the kids. No biggie. I just got a text from one friend "Hope you weren't planning on buying the girls any gifts." Um.... Well, 1) As we've done this since the oldest was born 5 years ago, yes I bought gifts. 2) As Christmas was two weeks ago and we are getting together TOMORROW, the gifts are already bought and wrapped. 3) Information that would have been good to know YESTERDAY.

I was bitching about how I wasn't giving presents if Audrey wasn't getting any. All the others get to rip things open and not her?! ?! Awful, I know, as that is not the way I am raising my daughter. But hmph!

Just got another text saying "Talked to L. They aren't buying anything either. Don't bother bringing your gifts. We would feel bad". What???? I may just give the girls the gifts anyway and if it makes our friends feel bad that they didn't get anything for Audrey, too damn bad!

This is awful! If this is how it always was, why would they expect you to think different. I say absolutely bring your gifts anyway!

I remember my cousin's realtor bringing her to a studio in NYC where the bathroom was just a toilet, and she was confused about where the shower was.  The realtor opened what appeared to be a kitchen drawer, from which steps swiveled out, leading up to the sink.  My cousin looked up at the shower curtain rod on the ceiling over what was meant to be her kitchen sink and asked "do I look like the sort of person who showers in their kitchen sink?"  Queue my cousin hiring a new realtor.
  • I'm having a fat day. I am meeting friends for Dinner and I was going to go straight from work to avoid traffic. Now I feel fat and yucky and I want to go home first to change my outfit. The restaurant is in an up and coming area, so on a Friday night, it's a place to be "seen". Will be surrounded by people who fall out of bed and land in Manolo's and are perfectly coiffed.

    Dilemma:

    1) Go home and change. Sit in traffic for 1hour to get back to the restaurant.
    2) Go straight from work, wearing the same outfit I am feeling dumpy and fat in. Feel blobby during dinner. But get to the area in 15 minutes and sit and read at coffee shop until the rest of the girls get there. (Blobby reading.)

  • @sfgiantsjo, I'm with Jen, and have done it a few times myself.  There must be a mall or some cute stores in the area to go shopping instead of wasting that hour in traffic!  You can just change in the dressing room at the store.  Sometimes new clothes are just the thing.  DO IT!
  • Another confession:
Since I got a MVC award today, I went out drinking for a 2 hour lunch and came back to do essentially nothing for the afternoon.  And I might leave 1/2 an hour early, too.  It's been that kind of day.

  • My confession:  I am subbing for a teacher's paternity leave at a school I know well.  First of all, I am judging him for only taking a week off for his 4th child...I know he has way more leave saved up than that.  Second, we have very different teaching styles, so I have been changing his plans to better suit mine.  I'm not giving these poor 8th graders seat work every single day and then giving them an obscene amount of points just for completion.  So I have been changing his plans and he can just do whatever when he comes back.  We'll cover the same material, and he did tell me to make things work for me...but I still feel a little bad.

I missed the picture, dang it! ;(

Confession: I just downed two Buffalo McChicken sandwiches and a small fry from McDonald's, and I couldn't care less that I'm probably eating pizza for dinner.  #FastFoodFriday!  My only "ragret" is that now my mouth tastes like ass.

I combined the Snoop Dogg and Billy Joel confessions in my head.

And then I was confused that Snoop Dog was performing with Elton John.
