  Last night when I was getting ready for bed, I flossed, rinsed my hands and then went to take out my contacts. I forgot the floss was mint, so it was minted fresh when I went to touch my eyes. Not fun. Lesson learned-contact first then floss.

  I love spicy food.  It does NOT mix with contacts. I couldn't wear mine for days after once.  I apparently couldn't get the pepper oil off my hands.

  My boss told me during my review that I am "too professional" for my hiring managers.  I don't get why it's a bad thing but it is, apparently.  I don't hand hold them but I guess I have to start.  I'd rather them be bitchslapped up to my level.

  Julia spit up on my shoulder right before we left the house.  I actually thought I looked cute for the first time in months so I just used a baby wipe to clean it off.  I thought I did a good job but now I kind of smell like spit up. (

  Spent yesterday afternoon and evening at the hospital with MH who was having symptoms of a heart attack. So that was fun.

  
  

  Luckily it wasn't cardiac and turned out to be a viral infection, but still. Scary.

  I just had a dutch baby pancake with strawberry preserves for breakfast, and now my mouth and lips are burning, and lips itch a bit.  WTF?!  I've had this exact same breakfast numerous times, and that was the last of the preserves.  Which one of those ingredients got pissy on me!?  Grrr.

  My fingers are faster than my brain sometimes. I keep changing "Bette" to Better and half the time I type the name Chris, I just keep going and type out Christ. Thankfully it gets caught before the email gets sent or the paperwork goes out the door to a client.

  I don't know what to do with my kid today.  I think we've gone through every toy and nothing is good enough for her.  I don't feel like bundling us up and going out but geez...it's going to be a long day.

  All morning, I've been trying to decide whether I'm going to go buy new nail polish for my mani/pedi this evening. I'm on a budget so technically, I'm not allowed to spend money on frivolities like extra nail polish when I'm already spending $50 on my hands/feet tonight. I have Recessionista in my bag (a deep plum) but damn it, I'm not 100% sold and I don't want to be unhappy with my color for the next week.

  Yeah, I probably should.  Ugh.  It doesn't typically make me sleepy (benadryl) but yesterday I was feeling so worn out I went to bed early and slept 10 hours and I don't want another slug day.
