  • I confess that my Christmas tree is still up. :D

  • Haha, mine is too Cathy! We had planned to take it down last weekend but H ended up working a crazy amount of hours and we decided to do it this weekend. We will see if that happens...

  • My confession is that we have pretty much nothing for this baby. I'm on restrictions from lifting or anything strenuous and I can't help H get the stuff cleared out of the room we will be using as the nursery. We've talked about having some friends help H get the stuff cleared out and put in the basement, but the friends who would help are struggling with IF. I don't know how I feel about asking them to help. I want to be sure we are sensitive to their struggles. The other alternative is to wait until after my next U/S on the 27th to see if I can get the all clear to be removed from restrictions.

I'm starting to get a little panicky about it.

  • I'm sure it was because the auditor was in the next room, but it made me just a tiny bit happy that my boss kept thanking me over and over yesterday when I took over the test she normally runs so that she could go assist with something else.

  • I confess that I don't feel like doing any work today.

  • I confess that I am so sick of oatmeal I could just puke about it.  Since September I've had unflavored oatmeal every work day for breakfast.  I don't think I can take it anymore, I need a new salt free, fast, breakfast idea.  It's starting to just taste like paste to me.
  • @Seipel12 do you like hard boiled eggs?  I have 2 for breakfast daily and I don't salt them.  A little pepper might be good though :)

  • @Seipel12 how about adding some frozen or fresh fruit to your oatmeal? Or greek yogurt with fruit and/or granola added?

I really do like them, the problem comes in with each egg has about 71mg of natural sodium.  Oatmeal has 0mg.  It's just nice to start out the day with a clean slate.  It means I don't have to monitor as closely later in the day.  But I think I might start hard boiled eggs for a while, I'm losing my mind with oatmeal.
  • Oh I didn't realize!!  Good thing I don't salt them then ;)

I wish I was organized enough for that in the morning!  lol!
  • @seipel - I add 1/2 tbs brown sugar, and a few dried cherries in my plain oatmeal. MFP is showing me anywhere from 0-20 mg sodium for .25 c of cherries (I don't use that muc), a few for the brown sugar.  I think it's yummy and still quick.

  • Ohhhh I see some Kashi cereals are 0mg!  Cinnamin Harvery and Island vanilla are both yummy.  But milk will probably add some soduim thought...

You don't have to be that organized in the morning. I actually prep all of my breakfast and lunch stuff for work on Sunday afternoons. I put 5 of everything in containers in the fridge and then grab one of each each morning to throw in my lunch bag. I would never be able to get it together in the morning!

@Seipel12, you could also try prepping fruit bowls the night before for you to just grab and go.  I used to do this when I had to get out of the door fast.  Also, what about almonds?  I get the 100 calorie packs of natural almonds and they don't have any sodium.  What about english muffins or granola?  Or maybe making a batch of muffins (since you meal prep on Sundays, those might be an easy, long lasting addition)?

  • I confess that H and I are seriously considering still trying this cycle.  We've been doing research and it seems like the chance of multiples is not terribly high, but high enough to be a little scared.  I've read on several forums where women had the same or more follicles than I do and didn't even get pregnant, others that conceived one child, and a select few that conceived twins.  We'd be ok with twins, just not more than that, mainly because of the danger of that type of pregnancy.  I definitely don' want to be the next octomom!

  • I'm almost certain I O'd yesterday, though I have to wait to confirm. I confess I'm so glad because DH and I are getting tired! I also confess that I'm already really optimistic about this cycle and that pisses me off because I feel like I'm setting myself up for failure.

  • I was all for H taking the local position but now I see him less than I saw him when he was on the road 5-6 days a week. Technically now I see him physically everyday but he's not awake. So we still spend more time on the phone telling each other about our days like he was on the road then when he was gone plus he has to work Saturday where previously he was home on the weekends. Since he works Saturday all he wants to do Sunday is relax and watch football so we still have our Christmas lights up and he doesn't want to go anywhere to do anything since its his one day to relax. At first it was ok since he was running nights and if I worked my schedule I could see him for 30 minutes before he went in but now they have him running all day and then night shift as well so I am sleeping by the time he gets in.
