  • @RevJen have you come any closer to making your decision? IIRC you were considering a move, right?

That would be a big, fat negative.  I'm not sure I can stand another year of the pettiness that exists in my current job.  I'm also still really wary of the area that the company is moving to.  There's not a lot of business around it so if I get laid off, I'm SOL.  And what if I move there for a year and hate it?  What if I can't get back?

On the other hand, it could be a great way for mh to go to school.  It's way more laid back that up here.  There's the beach.  There's baseball within a 2 hour radius so I wouldn't miss that, even though it's not our team.  And hello ... WWOHP with a resident pass.

There are pros and cons but we're no closer to making an actual decision about anything.

I don't know if it's a habit but I have Resting Bitch Face.  Usually when I'm concentrating on something, people constantly ask me if I'm mad.  Um no, but if you keep asking, I will be.

  • Embarrassing habit: Crying. I cry when I am happy, sad, for no reason what so ever. I can't control it sometimes and it is super embarrassing. Especially in public.

I hear New England is a great place for beaches, school and likely job opportunities.  Also, there are some pretty cool kids up here ;)

I'm sorry that the decision isn't easier.

HA!  I know and I would definitely love it if it weren't for the cold.  I think I need somewhere that's about 70 all year round.

When I'm reading, I sometimes mimic the facial expressions described in the book and I don't even realize I'm doing it.

I have this issue too. DH asks me if I am mad more often than is necessary because of the expression on my face.

To answer the question: dancing and mouthing along to the words on a favorite song when I am at the gym on the machines. Thankfully, when we were going on a regular basis it was later at night when no one was really there but still, DH would just look at my quizzically.

  • I'm game.  @SusieBW - whenever I feel like a lot of people are looking at me, my skin turns bright red.  It creeps up my neck and then my whole head looks like a tomato.  Embarassment isn't the only trigger - sometimes I'll be presenting or asking a question at work and although I'm confident in what I'm saying, I turn red anyway.

My friends joke that I need to wear red shirts at meetings so that I can blend in.  :(

When I eat gushers (because I LOVE THEM!) I tend to shove them all in my mouth at once because um it just tastes better hahaha! I mean, who can eat just one at a time!

    Embarrassing habit:
If I'm laughing really hard (I mean really hard), I sometimes snort.  I never used to this, but then when I was pregnant it started happening and has never gone away.  It's not an every day thing, but occasionally I do it.

I'm one of those people who will reply with a similar situation if you tell me something bad/sad that's happening to you.

I SWEAR I'm not trying to be a one-upper or turn your sadness around to me. I am just terrible at conversation and only know how to relate to people by finding common ground.
I think I do this too.

How did you choose Tatum's name? (I can't believe of all the times I have met you I never asked...well I don't think I did anyway)

I've always loved that name.  I saw the movie Paper Moon with Tatum O'Neill when I was pretty young, and the name just always stuck with me.  So while I wouldn't say that she was named after Tatum O'Neill, that's where I got the idea, albeit that was about 25 years ago!  When I was pregnant, we came up with a list of about 7 names that Dh and I could agree on, but weren't comfortable picking one until we met her, and when we did, it just seemed to fit the best.
  • @fabk - I cry constantly.  I cry whenever I laugh, which is the worst.

@SRodi811 - I have a friend that snorts all the time, too.  I barely even notice her snorts anymore because it happens so much.
