Re: TTC Tuesday

  • Pregnant Girls:

How many weeks: 7 weeks - size of a Blueberry

How are you feeling? Morning sickness hit me pretty hard end of last week into the weekend.  I pretty much sleep the whole weekend -  dry cereal, crackers and pasta were my only friends.  I also spiked a low-grade fever, so now I think maybe it was a touch of the stomach bug.  I feel better now, with manageable nausea.

Rants/Thoughts/Bump pics? Rant - my parents offered to watch LO when I got back to work.  They live 12 miles away (20 mins) and are retired.  We offered to pay them.  Now my mom is planning on moving in during the week.  WHAT?!  I mean I am grateful for them offering to watch LO, but I also want family time at night... my dad thinks she's crazy too.  She just doesn't want to get up at 530a and be at my house before 615.  And there's no way I'm dropping off, that's an hour out of my way, I might as well pay for regular daycare on post.

I know this is WAY down the road,  but she's like picking out her room, planning on bringing a TV, wanting a DVR, etc.  It's stressing me out.

How are you feeling? Feeling OK, a bit sore.

Rants/Thoughts/Bump pics? So, I had an appointment yesterday to check the placement of my placenta, it was covering my cervix at my 20 week scan. Well, the good news is that it has moved out of the way so no more pelvic rest (H better watch out)! But, my cervix has shortened again and I was placed on modified bed rest. So, I will be spending most of my time at home. I am allowed to go into the office two days a week and work from home the other three. At this point, we are hoping that this pattern keeps for a while and I don't have to be put on full bed rest for quite a while! I have another scan next week.

Chart stalks/rants/Thoughts: I have an appointment tomorrow morning with my RE. We will be discussing what will happen this next cycle because femara failed to make me ovulate on the second attempt. Most likely will be moving on to injects and IUI. Trying to be hopeful but having a very hard time with everything right now. Hoping tomorrow's appointment brings new positivity to all of this.

In case anyone isn't already sick to freaking death of hearing about my cycle...thanks patient ladies :)

    CD/DPO: CD 45

    W2O or 2WW?  not sure...le sigh

    Testing plans:  I'm lost!

Chart stalks/rants/Thoughts:  SO i took two temps today just to see if they'd be vastly different an hour apart.  At 6 am it was 97.5 and at 7 am it was 97.9.  Normally I am up closer to 7 but I was restless last night and, since I was awake at 6, decided out of curiosity to take it.  Since I tossed and turned after that I went ahead and recorded the early one.  I had pretty bad cramps yesterday along with some slightly pink-tinged cm, and I have cramps again today.  I truly have no idea what is happening, but I am prepared to accept anything at this point.  I know that my over-thinking it is not helping, not to mention I started a new workout regimen 2 weeks ago and changed my eating habits to being healthier, so I've instituted a lot of new changes that my body is trying to deal with.  I uploaded my updated chart, in case anyone is still interested (doubt it, lol!)  Note that if I recorded my 7 am temp instead of my 6 am one, it would have been quite a jump from yesterday---but still below the coverline...??
Thanks for listening to my rants and for weighing in, everyone!

@mana8503 that would super stress me out too

    First, thank you.

Second, your second temp cannot count. You need to have slept a minimum of 3 straight hours for a temp to be reliable. I would only count the temp you got at 6.

I actually have a temping alarm set for every day at 5:15. I don't get up til later. But this way I know I am never up earlier than 5:15 for work so my temperatures remain consistent. I go back to sleep after. After the first few days of doing this my body got used to it, DH actually sleeps through my 5:15 alarm most days. - Just an idea that might help you get more consistent temps.

Any Milestones this week? she has found a new way to communicate, screaming! its cute, its not crying, its just screaming! i love her

Rants/Thoughts/Baby pics? Thoughts- i really hope the woman at work retires at the end of this school year so I can get my job back, its been 3 years so we can start planning for baby #2, my health insurance is better than H's and i would be able to take a legit maternity leave. When DD was set to be born in July i worried that if she came late i wouldnt have enough time with her at home bc i was and am currently in the middle of covering a maternity leave and had to be back to work on a certain date.

That's what I thought--thanks for the confirmation :)  I set my alarm at 7 but since I was wide awake at 6 and knew I couldn't be still for another hour, I went ahead and took it today.

  • Evan - I always took my temp the first time I woke up, it was usually the most continuous sleep I got.  H's job has him getting up anyway from 12pm-4am, but it's usually between 2-3.  So even if he's not there (sometimes he leaves 8-9pm), I still get up between 2-3 to pee.  I usually start tossing and turning until my alarms start around 430-5.  I tried just taking it at 4am every morning, but my temps were all over the place, but once I started just taking it whenever I first wake up, it leveled off with a clear shift.  I think you were right to take it at 6am and keep that temp.

Also thanks for validating how I felt.  I told my friend who knows I'm pregnant and she thought I was being spoiled, which added to the stress. And that I should take LO to my parents house.  What the what?!  Like I said, I'd rather pay the same amount and drop the kid off on my way to work, than drive an extra hour so my mom doesn't have to get up.

@WillyH19 I hope everything goes ok!!!!!!  That is awesome you can work from home and they are working with you!

@islandmonkey8 Good luck at your appt!  I hope they have some encouraging new options.

Chart stalks/rants/Thoughts: I think I'm too lazy to chart.  I did temp this morning, but I bet I'm not going to keep up it.  This will probably take me a few months without success before I will become an obsessive nightmare.

@mana8503 Holy crap!  I would be freaking out if I were you.  This is one of my biggest fears with MIL after we have a LO.  She likes to be really involved to a fault in everything.  Good luck to you and I hope you get it resolved without too much stress.  I guess if it were my mom I would just ask her, "How would you have felt if your mother would have offered that?"

  • @mana8503 i would be stressed about that too and I think you need to have the conversation now before it gets out of control! I would NOT drive an hour out of my way in the morning, right now daycare is 20 min away but its on my way to work and until you have a kid and have been up every 2-3 hours, are sleep deprived and you just want to kill the next person that says hi to you, an hour is precious. I had to plan my mornings down to the second which consisted of showering, picking out clothes and packing my lunch the night before, so all i had to do was get up, get dressed, find time to pump, feed the baby, change her diaper, throw her in the carseat, with her pjs still on so i could get to work on time. But with babies things do not go as planned and an hour away for me wouldnt work.

As for her moving in, help in the beginning is nice so you can take a shower or a nap but its called personal space and family time like you said and i dont know if you are planning on breastfeeding but i didnt want to have to leave the room every time i whipped my boob out to feed or pump bc it was MY house.

And didn't add that in yet!

W2O or 2WW? 2ww(even though I have a longer cycle so it's usually a3 week window and I am not living that)

Testing plans: after feb 1st that's when af is supposed to come( I actually tested last week I know too soon) a girl can dream can't she!

Rants - seriously I am getting really sad every time it get my period- why can't I get pregnant!
  • Thanks guys!  I really thought I was crazy when my friend told me I was asking too much.  I really didn't think I was.  They offered knowing I work 7-430, and I leave by 615-620.  H is usually home around noon (sometimes later, it really depends), but we kind of need them to stay while he naps.

I can never hide my facial expressions, sometimes it's really bad. So she knew right away I wasn't really going for it. I mentioned to her that I really would like nights to be family time.  She said she'll just go to her "room".  I backed off when she started acting like her feelings were hurt.  Dad was like I'm fine being there at 6am!  So he's backing me up on this.  And they only have 1 car since my sister has the other.  I don't mind if they take the guest room to nap and stuff, put a TV in there, whatever.  I'll have to bring it up later if she doesn't.  I mean, if roads were bad, they are more than welcome to stay, but I don't want a perminate Sun-Thurday night schedule set.

@seipel19 - My parents lived with my mom's parents when my sister was born, so I can't use that unfornuately!  Then they lived with my dad's parents in NC for a while... they weren't very settled when my sister was younger.

@mpj1001 - I did the commute from parent's house to work for 2 years, IT SUCKS without a baby!  I was gone from 6am-6pm (hour and change commute, 9 hour days).   That's why I moved closer.  driving 20 mins, to drop LO off and driving back down would be my hell and not even on the table.  My friend brought that up because "what's the benefit to your parents to drive down"... um the money I'm giving them?  Time with her gbaby.... THEY OFFERED!

@ystaalenburg - I've heard that bc can help the cysts subside faster. I hope this is the case for you and you can move on soon. Sorry for the unwanted break cycle!

ETA: Also, if you do overstim again, I would probably reconsider RE's possibly at that point. Lots of luck!

  • @mana8503 I totally understand how you feel.  I live with my parents.  We have our own space, but it's still too close.  If we ever move out, I would not want my mom, as much as I love her, moving in with me for the work week.  Just like you got on a schedule, your mom will get on a schedule of coming to you in the morning.  I am starting to think about child care and am freaking out.  I am hoping H will be able to work from home for a month or 2 to push the need for daycare back.  Putting my tiny baby in day care at 6 weeks when I have to go back to work breaks my heart.

@islandmonkey8 I hope your next step, whatever it may be, works for you.  I've had you in my prayers.

@ystaalenburg I am sorry this cycle didn't work out.

@fank139 I know it's hard, but try to not obsess so much.  It could be a myth, but I believe stressing over your period (or ovulating) pushes it back.  Have you read Taking Charge of Your Fertility?  I lurked a lot on Getting Pregnant and Trying to Get Pregnant on the Bump and googled if I needed more info.  After our 2nd month trying, I bought the book and realized I was missing a lot just getting the info that people are posting on a message board.  It was very helpful for TTC or TTA.

I have read parts of it, yes :)   It's amazing all the stuff that's in there!

I know my anxiety is a big contributor to this--since I have started working out I have noticed a big difference in my worry levels, so hopefully that continues to help.

    @mana8503, no, just no! Lol

@islandmonkey8, good luck with the RE tomorrow!

    TTC:

    Cycle/month: 6/6

    Cd/dpo: 28/13

Testing plans: this morning bfn, totally bummed.

Rants: I was convinced I was pregnant. I had weird symptoms unlike any of the last 5 months, including cramps and backache at 8 dpo. But the test doesn't lie. Onto the next cycle I suppose.

:( sorry to hear that.  Are you completely sure you're out of the game?

Thanks. I suppose not, but being that AF should be here on thurs, I'd rather just prepare for it. I mean, if the cramping on 8 dpo was implantation, then I would think that 5 days later a test would turn.

Yeah I completely understand wanting to mentally prepare.  Well, I will keep everything crossed for you for next time!!! :)  I always think of you ladies who are TTC when TTC Tuesday comes around!

How many weeks: 16 weeks tomorrow!!

How are you feeling? Pretty good for the most part! Occasionally some nausea returns and kicks my ass but not too often. Little heartburn has kicked in this week but but not too bad. Sleeping better and the headaches seem less too!

Rants/Thoughts/Bump pics? No pics yet. I sent one to my sisters last week and one wrote back " omg you are going to be soooooo huge!" I was like thanks asshole !
