Re: NBR: Shoe related

  • I plan to store my luggage on the roof of my car, as I am sacrificing my trunk space for Jen and Booney's shoes :P

Seriously though- I am so afraid I am going to be disowned by the group for my lackluster shoes.

    Flip flops baby!

I may bring a pair of heels for night- but I tried that last year with Jeff and had blisters way too quickly!
Because of ALL OF THE WALKING right? See...flats all the way baby.

Exactly! Even going to dinner- we were like "oh that's right around the corner" which turned out to be like 5-6 blocks away. By the time we finished dinner, then walked to Phantom.... I was doomed. Blisters were already started!

I think my ankle can handle a wedge for night time.

See my problem is...... I wear heels every day for work (albeit respectable heels- sorry) and don't even own flats.  When I am not working (or going out in my heels) I am 100% flip flops.  It is the parrothead in me!  Comfort.

I guess I'll need to look for cute, comfy flats?

ETA- Or in the winter- I am in my Uggs.

  • You guys have just not tried enough different heels :)

I would say over half of my heels are comfy enough to do a moderate amount of walking in without getting sliced.  Eventually my feet will start to ache, but as long as I get heels that fit, I don't usually get blisters.

  • Last year I wore strappy sandal heels in NY. They are comfortable on. But after walking so long, eventually the straps started rub and I got blisters.
I've been to weddings where I've danced all night in these heels- no problem. But the constant walking did me in.

  • @MyJunegirls You need to start wearing heels everyday from this day forward and by the time NYC rolls around your feet will be dead to all things heel related and there will be no problem.

Actually- until it heals- that does make total sense. You can bleed the color out.
