workouts?

I can't remember if we posted these yet this week...so far I only made it Monday but will be going tonight, Thurs, and Saturday.

This is week 3 of exercising and I already feel better, jeans are a little looser, and the BEST thing is that my anxiety levels are down.  I have read a lot about anxiety and exercise but it's kind of annoying when you have anxiety for people to tell you to "just work out"...Anyhow, they were right and I feel better than I have in months.

Also, today at work I'm wearing a dress that I thought looked awful on me in September, and today I feel like it looks pretty good!  Love that feeling!

Looking forward to getting back to the gym tonight--I think of it as taking my daily anti-anxiety pill :))

  • I ended up walking a total of 5.5 miles yesterday because of the snow!! H and I went for two complete walks around our neighborhood with the dog, which was sooo nice! I love going for a nice walk in the snow.

  • Awesome!!!

I haven't stepped foot in a gym since Aug : (. Before we moved, I wasn't able to go to my Pilates class because the only times that I could get on the microscope necessary to finish my research conflicted with the Pilates class time. Also, I haven't run in almost a year. I feel like a giant lump. I haven't gained that much weight, but I'm definitely not as toned as I used to be.

I'm thinking of doing Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. I've heard good things about it and it's something that I can do from home before I start thesis writing for the day. Also, it's much cheaper than a gym membership (we don't have extra money for things like that right now). I'd love to start running again, but I don't know our new city well enough to come up with running routes yet. I'm thinking about joining a local running group, but I'm so out of shape and I'm afraid that I'll never keep up!
