Re: Happy Friday!! What are you reading?

  • I am reading Labor Day by Joyce Maynard. I do like it so far. It's very interesting and I'm very curious what is going to happen next. It's the start of my goal to read ALL the books that have a movie coming out this year. Maybe crazy but it's my plan. lol.

I probably will "watch" the game because my husband will probably have it on but I may find something else to keep myself busy because I'm not a football fan. I don't have a favourite team but I'm leaning Broncos, although I'm not even 100% that they're playing. lol.

  • I'm currently reading I Found You by Jane Lark.  The author is British but the story takes place in New York city and the characters are American but they keep using jumper and ring off.  Its annoying but the story's alright so far.  I think it will fit it into WBC.  I'm going to start On Dublin Street tonight, I'm on a bit of NA reading binge lately.

No Super Bowl for me, I'm not a football fan and I'm working.

I just finished up Fangirl  this morning.  I gave it 3 stars.  I was not a fan of reading the fanfiction of the fanfiction of Harry Potter.  It made me stabby.  And then I started Hell House by Richard Matheson and only got about 4 chapters in, so I don't have an opinion on it just yet.

I am also slogging through The Harding Era for my presidential biography.

These are books 12 and 13 for the year.
    Wait, WUT.

@elistar, what have you gotten me into???
    I'm confused. Which is fanfic?
    It's not a fanfic.

It's about a girl who writes fan-fic about a series that's eerily similar to HP. It is sweet and well written and funny and geeky and I LOVED it.

  • I just started The Shining Girls.

I couldn't care less about the Super Bowl. We are celebrating DH's bday on Sunday at my parents' house so it will be on there.

  • I'm reading Loyalty in Death, #whatever in the JD Robb series. It's going great so far. I think it's my freebie for WBC.

I will watch the game but idk who is even playing and I don't care who wins. I just want wings and pizza.

  • Re-reading Goblet of Fire.

  • I just finished In the Devil's Snare: The Salem Witchcraft Crisis of 1692, by Mary Beth Horton.  It was great.  I'm about to start The Good Luck of Right Now by Matthew Quick.  I liked Silver Linings Playbook so I am hoping I like this, too.

  • I'm reading The Winter Sea and listening to The Golem and the Jinni. Both are good, but they're both longish and I'm getting antsy with The Winter Sea. I want to finish so I can start Into the Still Blue. I think they'll be #8 & 9 for the year.

I have zero desire to watch the superbowl, but my BIL is a huge Seahawks fan so I hope they win and make him happy.

  • Gone Girl, #8 out of 52 for the year.
