  I opted to do it mainly because of my history of loss. I got more bloodwork done than the normal person would to look deeper at possible genetic issues. I actually found out that I was a carrier for SMA during this so DH got tested too. He was not a carrier but if/when out child decides to have kids of his own he will need to get screened too.
  
  I'm glad I did it because I just needed that peace of mind and if anything did come up, we'd be prepared. We have a fantastic Children's hospital here that has so many resources so I knew that we'd be in good hands no matter what.

  We opted not to the first time for the same reasons already listed. We opted to do it the 2nd time after a friend discovered her fetus had a condition incompatible with life and chose to terminate around 23w after an amnio confirmed.
  
  I decided I would never be able to carry to term just to find out my infant had passed/would pass shortly. I wanted all the information available. Obviously as it turned out, the u/s determined our MMC so it was a good thing we opted otherwise it would have been weeks before we found out about it.
  
  We'll be opting for it if we are lucky enough to be pregnant again.

  I did it and am very glad I did.

  IUI - BFP! Baby boy born still - August 2012

  IVF - BFP - miscarriage June 2013

  FET - BFN

  FET - BFN

  Switched clinics

  IVF with PGD - three embryos created, all healthy - July 2014
  FET - transferred two embryos (boy and girl) - Nov 2014 - BFP!
