T-TTC since Dec 2008. PCOS/nonexistant cycles(anovulation) and endo. HSG in '10 revealed both tubes blocked. Lap surgery in Dec '10 to correct. Failed Clomid/IUI and injectable(Bravelle)/IUI cycles so far.

  • DH works late, and all weekend, and hasn't mentioned anything so likely nothing.  I wish I could bump V-day to the spring/summer when we have no celebrations.  Between Jan to March, we have 7 birthdays in our immediate family including the three of us, our anniversary and v-day.  I need to spread sh*t out.

  • I work late, and DH has to work Saturday. But we have reservations for White Castle tomorrow night. They supposedly put in a big production for it.
  • XP from GPM:

We don't usually celebrate Valentine's Day (I'm Jewish, so never celebrated it growing up - Saints holiday and such).  Plus, most restaurants do a limited menu and I find the service isn't as good because they're trying to turn tables as quickly as possible.  This year we're kind of celebrating by default. We have tickets to see Alton Brown's live show and it just so happens to be tomorrow night. And somehow DH got us a reservation at Morton's before the show. I'm excited but have NO IDEA what to wear lol! Just hope the roads are all clear by then! AAAAND if the weather cooperates I get to meet @zamboni00 and hubby!!!

  • We'll probably just go out to dinner.  Although we do that every Friday and Saturday night, so that's not really any different.

  • We have my stepdaughters this year, so we are taking them out to an Italian restaurant for an early dinner.  We bought them some vday gifts so I'm sure they'll love it.  We said we weren't going to exchange gifts, but we've been saying that we both need a massage, so I'm surprising him with a couples massage gift certificate.

Originally it was going to be just the four of us, but my mom found out what we were doing and she asked if her and my dad could tag along.  I'm totally fine with it, but I wonder if we'll get any weird looks for going to dinner with my parents and stepdaughters on VDay...

  • We went out for burgers and beer last night and called that our celebration.  I bet we end up grilling at home tomorrow and drinking more beer.  Maybe in our underwear.

  • I am making steak dinner in the crockpot. I had hoped to go for a train ride on Saturday because I'd met my 20 pound mini goal (a train trip)...the snow led to the train excursion being canceled and as of this morning I'm still 0.8 pounds shy of goal. So basically at this point I will be lucky if we get to the grocery store that carries my no dairy/soy bread...

  • We have a really exciting day/night planned! Alan Will wake up at 3:30 AM and head off to work til 4! I leave the house at 3 PM and drive to work until midnight! It's magically!

Alan is cooking my cousin who is staying with us a special English Valentine's meal for a taste of home. It's a tradition for her, so we want to accommodate.

  • We are going out to lunch on Sunday at a new place...maybe some type of cuisine we haven't tried before. And then we are going to this arcade/putt-putt/pinball/building of awesomeness( kind of like Dave and Buster's...only less food and more games) to spend the afternoon playing games and such.

It's a surprise for my DH. He used to go to this place all time when he was a kid/teenager but we have never gone together. I think he'll get a kick out of it!

  • We are headed to Cheesecake Factory, who apparently doesn't take reservations.  I'm sure it will be a good 60-90 min wait, but their cheesecake is totally worth it.  We aren't going to go overboard though because we are buying a house. :)

Other than that, we are headed to the ILs for the weekend which if you've read any of my fun stories will include: meeting our nephew who was born at noon on Thursday...we were told about him at 8pm that night, my BIL to whom I'm not speaking, my MIL being a whiny, crying 50-something who tells my H he's not her son anymore, and my FIL who has terminal cancer, but instead of fighting the disease, fights with everyone else about how they aren't catering to his needs and desires, even though he's still perfectly able to do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING, including raise all hell.  Should be a blast! (Please note the extreme sarcasm in that last phrase :) )
