  • So there really isn't much left...I am very curious how they tie things together and finish the book. Want to complete the book for Monday?

  • Sounds great! We'll see how this wraps up!
  • So I am SOOOOOO Let down! I gave it 2 maybe 2.5 stars. I was expecting so much more with the key! Here is my opinion: I really wasn't a big fan of this book. I think I expected more, and the writing style, I really DISLIKED. Most of the time I was confused and it was very hard to follow and distinguish who was speaking at times. I am disappointed in the "story lines" I feel as though they were jumbled and in the end I felt were a let down.

So what do you think happened to Mr. Black?

How many stars would you give?

  • Umm...yeah...I agree...I'm kinda left speechless but not in a good way.

I agree with 2.5, maybe 3 at the most bc it had some neat plot lines/ideas just developed in the most unsatisfying ways possible.

I'd like to think Mr. Black went with the women to the top of the Empire State Building....

I had to go back to re-read the chapter "My Feelings" once I got to the end because for some reason I couldn't figure out that it was his grandmother that whole time.

Overall I am super disappointed as well, I'm tempted to watch the movie now to see if maybe it makes more sense than the book does!
  • Well good luck...I have no desire to see it ;-)

Thanks for being such a great reading buddy! Good Luck with your future schooling...I finally graduated with my Bachelor's last May (8 years) so I understand being in school forever!!

  • Haha thanks, it was great to be a reading buddy with you too...especially for this book, it was relief to know I wasn't the only one shaking my head through most of it!

It took my husband 10 years (!) to finish undergrad and we are both in the same place doing our doctorates so while it seems like I've been in school for a long time he has me waaay beat!

Your babies are so beautiful, keep up the great work!
  • Thank You :-) You too! Good Luck with that Doctorate!
