Re: What is the best book you have read recently?

  • I haven't read anything amazing lately, all the 6 books I have read this year are all 3/3.5 stars but if I had to choose it would be In The Bag by Kate Klise. This was really cute, and I suggest that, if you are looking for a cute, fast, easy read then this is your book :-)

  • The Winter Sea and The Shadowy Horses by Susanna Kearsley. I just started reading The Firebird this morning, but I'm pretty sure I could add it to this list!

  • I haven't been WOWed by a book in a while. Hopefully, that will change soon. I'm looking for something so good, it distracts me from real life.
I write sexy books. I read all the books. I love dresses & macarons.

I'm reading this now.  While I'm enjoying it at about halfway, I'm not feeling the pull get right back into it as soon as I can read again.  I think I heard that it gets more grippy at the end, so I'm hopeful.

  • I've been reading Washington: A Life for close to 2 months so haven't read much else. I did put it down so I could read my IRL book club selection though and liked that. It was This is Where I Leave You by Jonathan Tropper.

I'm also reading A Different Witch (A Modern Witch #5) before the end of the month so I can borrow the next one from Kindle Lending Library this month. Really liking that one as always.

  • I literally love every book I read, pretty much. I finished The Left Hand of God trilogy last week, which was absolutely excellent (if you like books about psychologically damaged, murderous, sadistic teenage boys that are set in a very strange version of medieval europe, that is).

I've also finally gotten my hands on Inheritance by Malinda Lo, which has been good so far, not as much as Adaption though, I'd say.
  • I am reading Mariah Stewart's Chesapeake Diaries series right now and am enjoying them. I would say that if you like Susan Mallery or Robyn Carr or Susan Wiggs, you would like them. They are women's fiction, bordering on romance, but without much smut.

  • I've only read 8 books this year, but two of my favorites so far are Frigid by J. Lynn and Onyx (Lux #2) by Jennifer L. Armentrout. It's the same author, and I really like her books.

  • Under the Never Sky. I loved it!
Yay! This warms my heart. :)

The books I've rated 4 or more stars in the past couple months:

Sign of Seven trilogy by Nora Roberts (thank you NBC for recommending this!)
The Girl You Left Behind by JoJo Moyes
Alienated by .... um what's that author's name?!! lol
Into the Still Blue by Veronica Rossi (3rd in the series that taylormillgirl is talking about)
The Gods of Guilt by Michael Connelly
  • I'm probably late to the party on this one but I just finished the audio version of "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and LOVED it! I'm already halfway through book 2 in the series. I was surprised bc I started it with low expectation.
