T&P For My Furbaby
Today as Dh and I were going to grab something to eat, Breezy tried to jump on our bed and yelped. We checked her and she seemed fine. We come back with dinner and she sits in the basement with us, but she wasn't acting like herself. She didn't want her bone or to play with her rope.
I called her to come upstairs with me to get her a Beggin' strip. She got excited for that, jump on the stairs, cried in pain, and curled up on the step. Dh had to carry her upstairs.
We tried calling the vet, but they had already left for the day. We took her to the animal hospital they suggested on the answering machine. They checked her out and said she pulled a disk in her back. She was given a shot for pain. She is on steroids, pain medication, and no activity for a week other than bathroom time.
Poor thing, I kept crying when she would yelp while they were checking her. She is curled up in her crate with her blanket right now.
Please just think of her, she has a long week ahead.
