Weekend Plans

What is everyone doing this weekend?

I am buying a new laptop (mine is from 2008 and is slow as molasses!) and spending the weekend being lazy around the apartment. I'll read some and play my 3DS.
Married - 12/14/13

Re: Weekend Plans

  • Since it's going to be rainy and icky outside (and we spent a pretty penny last weekend on wine - came home with 8 bottles), the plan is to do much-needed stuff around the apartment.  I don't think DH realizes what I have in mind... *evil grin*

Cleaning, shopping, organizing the storage closets, going through our books/DVDs for donation, going through clothes for donation, making pizza dough and bread, repotting my houseplants, probably some decorating for Easter (I have yet to take down the St. Patrick's Day decorations, which will happen this weekend, as well), and maybe sleep.  Maybe.  I go through neat freak phases.

  • We are pretty busy this weekend.
DH and I made a pact to tackle the downstairs today, meaning clean out the rooms, lay the floors down, rearrange the rooms, etc.
We then have to babysit tomorrow from 5pm-1am
Sunday we are rearranging the rest of the house and then we have a birthday party for one of our cousins.

Sunday we're going with my parents to look at a piece of land they want to buy and we're interested in building a house on. Then I'm really hoping to start painting our dining room.

  • @islandmonkey8- it's not over yet! I'm still so hopeful for you.

@brij2006- we watched wolf of Wall Street this week. It was good, but be prepared for tons of drug use and lots of really gratuitous sex scenes. I'm by no means a prude, but I thought some scenes were a bit too much.

We're laying pretty low this weekend. Dinner with the family to celebrate Mr's birthday tonight, probably errands/cleaning tomorrow and watching basketball. Nothing too exciting.

  • Still having my fingers crossed for you @islandmonkey8!!

This weekend is going to be another busy one.  We are redoing our whole backyard and have been working on it for the last week and a half.  We finished the patio extension and built the raised herb garden last weekend.  We are hoping to put down soil and mulch and plant some herbs, flowers, and maybe a couple of bushes.  We also need to hang up some lighting around the trees and over the patio and hopefully we can get started on our DIY outdoor sectional.  I'm having a mild heart attack just thinking about everything that needs to get done!

This weekend DH works so it will be pretty low key.  I'm not doing any house showings if I can avoid it, and I have plans with friends on Sat and Sunday morning.

I plan to hit up some open houses on Sunday and then we have a birthday dinner sunday night for my step-dad and SIL.

AFM, I'm hoping to clean tonight so I can be as lazy as possible tomorrow. Sunday, I'm going to help my Grandma with some gardening and whatever else she needs before her surgery on Tuesday. Eeep.
  • @islandmonkey8 Keeping my FX for you. Hugs.. xo @brij2006 I saw American Hustle and we liked it. Never saw Wolf yet though. We may go riding our bikes for lunch or something tomorrow. No real plans. Sunday I have a baby shower to go to. That will be nice to see some girls I haven't seen in a while. Other than that, not much. We WOULD have been watching the games Saturday night, but since UCLA lost last night, it doesn't really matter... Lol Boo FL

Depending on weather we might do some more house drive-bys of places further down the valley just for fun. Plus if the rain holds off I might finally fix the fence in the barn pasture and start working Vegas, after being off all winter, as he is bursting with energy.

    Tonight: DH comes home!
Saturday: Trying to convince DH to look at kayaks. I want one, but I want him to like it, too. I think he'd like one you sit on. We'll see. I have therapy in the afternoon, and we're having our neighbors over for drinks at night. The wife did all my HCG and PIO shots, and they have fertility issues themselves. It is nice to have supportive and understanding people right next door. I think she and I will do lots of "Eff 3T" drinking.
Sunday: I am having lunch and pedis with college girlfriends. I emailed them all about our mc in hopes that if one of them is pg, that they'd have the courtesy to give me advance notice. Nothing yet except nice emails, texts, and calls. Would it be weird for me to bring my own polish? What if the salon polish isn't "good" polish (like Zoya, Julep, etc)? Not all OPI is free from the bad fertility chemicals, right?
