What's Back and Forth? No, obviously I haven't seen it. Did you catch him doing Hey Bulldog on that Beatles 50th anniversary tribute show a month or two ago? It was amazing. I think he's one of the best musicians ever. Have you seen him live? I saw Foo Fighters open for RHCP back in 2001 or so, and I wasn't that big a fan back then, but his energy on stage completely blew me away. I've been a huge fan ever since that show.
The book is called This is a Call: The Life and Times of Dave Grohl. This is what I just wrote in the "What are you reading" thread:
I'm reading This is a Call: The Life and Times of Dave Grohl. I just got to the Nirvana period a day or two ago, and now I can't put it down. Everything for him and for the band happened so fast, and I feel like the writing is keeping pace, and I'm really enjoying it now. Conversely, the first third of the book was more about the "times" than the "life" of Dave Grohl as a teenager, and I got a really nice overview of the development of punk rock and hardcore throughout the 80s, and how that lead up to the alt rock thing in the early 90s, but meh. Like I said the other day, I was biased against this one from the start, because there's something about a biography of someone who's still young and doing awesome stuff that doesn't sit right with me.

Back and Forth is a documentary that came out just before Wasting Light. I thought it was super good and as a Foo Fan I think you'd like it!
Speaking of 90's grunge. If you haven't seen PJ20, you should. It's awesome! I think it's on Netflix, but Back and Forth isn't. I happened to catch it once on VH1.
