How long do you expect your tech stuff to last? How often do you upgrade? I haven't upgraded anything other than my phone.

Do you own an ereader? Which one? I used to have a Kindle keyboard but it died.

How about a tablet? MH got me a Lenovo tablet for Christmas.

How long do you expect your tech stuff to last? How often do you upgrade? I don't upgrade often at all. I don't need the latest and greatest.

Do you use a PC or laptop? What brand? We have some crazy gamer desktop that my DH bought. I don't even know the brand. It's huge and has extra fans so that it won't over heat when he plays too long. Shortly after he got it, he stopped online gaming.

How about a tablet? We have an iPad. I use it way more than our PC.

How long do you expect your tech stuff to last? How often do you upgrade? I expect it to last forever. My phone is at least 6 years old, maybe older, but I know that I had it when we got married. I upgrade when things break.

Do you use a PC or laptop? What brand? Both. Though they are both ancient and both Dells.

Do you own an ereader? Which one? I have the new Kindle (not Paperwhite). I also have a 2G Kindle somewhere.

How about a tablet? I have the iPad 2. It's starting to show its age now.

How long do you expect your tech stuff to last? How often do you upgrade? I expect to get about 3 years out of things. I'm excited when it's longer. I upgrade when performance is terrible and not fixable or it dies.

How about a tablet? I have a second gen iPad that was a hand me down from my husband, I don't use it all that much.

How long do you expect your tech stuff to last? How often do you upgrade? I expect my computer to last a while, I also spend a good amount of money on it so it should. My kindle is relatively inexpensive and usually I want to upgrade it before it dies anyways.

How about a tablet? Yes, one by Asus. Again, picked out by DH. But I hardly use it anymore. I have a Galaxy 4 phone, and the screen is pretty big, so I use it for most everything.

How long do you expect your tech stuff to last? How often do you upgrade? I expect it to last forever. I think my iPod is 8 years old, and it still works. I only upgrade phones when DH does - he picks them out, and I buy what he buys. That way he knows how everything works.

Do you use a PC or laptop? What brand? I use a laptop. It's an HP. My dad got it for me for Christmas two years ago.

Do you own an ereader? Which one? I am a Nook girl. I have the Easy Touch Reader, which I don't use, as well as the HD+, which I use ALL. THE. TIME.

How about a tablet? Well, my Nook HD+. I also have a first generation iPad that lives in my closet.

How long do you expect your tech stuff to last? How often do you upgrade? I tend to be an early adopter within the confines of my budget. I like new stuff, but I can't always afford it.

How long do you expect your tech stuff to last? How often do you upgrade? I want to get YEARS out of the stuff I buy. My laptop is 5 years old, my desktop is almost 8. I have no intention of replacing either of them any time soon, nor my tab or e-reader anytime soon. I only replace stuff when I kill the originals.

Do you own an ereader? Which one? I have a Kindle, I only know it was one of the larger early ones. Maybe 2nd generation.

How about a tablet? No tablet. I don't see a tablet doing anything that a phone can't. Too many gadgets as it is. And I wouldn't want to replace my Kindle with a tablet because I do read outside a lot.

How long do you expect your tech stuff to last? How often do you upgrade? I would hope for at least 5 years, but I only replace when things die.

I'm a tech junkie. Normally, I like to upgrade the minute something comes out. However, I have to be more frugal now. I will at least make sure I sell my current model BEFORE purchasing the newest one.

How long do you expect your tech stuff to last? How often do you upgrade? I expect it to last several years. I don't upgrade until it breaks. My last phone was tough and I didn't get rid of it for four years. Then it broke right before Christmas so I bought a smart phone.

I have an old Macbook. DH has an old Dell laptop. We also have a Windows 7 desktop that we hooked up to our TV so we have a giant monitor in the living room. It was a hand-me-down from FIL when he decided to get a new computer.

My Macbook is on its last leg and is getting to the point where certain software upgrades aren't compatible with it and it's running slowly. An Apple Store employee called it "vintage". I think it's about 8 years old (it was a hand-me-down from my uncle when he wanted to upgrade in 2008). With the various Mac computers my family and I have owned, 6-8 years seems about the lifespan before we need to upgrade.

I have a MacBook Pro

I have a Nook Color

I don't have a tablet that I call "mine" but DH has an iPad and the kids share an iPad Mini. (I'm slowly converting our house into an Apple house)

The kids' will get iPads for school next year, so I may take theirs if I want one! I typically prefer to use my phone so I'm not carrying something else.

I try not to replace things until theyd die. I went through 3 Dells in 3 years and have had my MacBook for 3 years and am sold on them now! I really want a new e-reader but am trying to be good and wait til mine dies.

How long do you expect your tech stuff to last? How often do you upgrade? I'm not sure. I've had the Macbook for 3 years and my H keeps hinting I should upgrade, but I think it's fine. I've had the Kindle for 3 1/2 years and it's fine too. I guess I plan to upgrade when I start having problems with them.

How long do you expect your tech stuff to last? How often do you upgrade? I expect at least 3 years out of most tech stuff. I upgrade when it's really necessary - got a new laptop when my old one was soooooooooooo slow and DH had run out of ways that he could fix it.

How about a tablet? 1st gen iPad -- we bought mainly for movies and tv shows for the car because it was cheaper than the option to put a tv/dvr in our car. One of the best car-related decisions ever.

How long do you expect your tech stuff to last? How often do you upgrade? I tend to hang on to things until they break, I don't upgrade just to upgrade (knock on wood).

I'm crossing my fingers it will last until something after Windows 8 comes out. I'm not a fan of 8.

How about a tablet? Hubby has a Verizon Elipsis 7. He still uses his phone more for work than the tablet.

How long do you expect your tech stuff to last? How often do you upgrade? I would say about 3+ years or until it dies or I can afford to fulfill hubby's desires to upgrade.

Do you own an ereader? Which one? I have a nook simple touch with glow light. I had the original nook, but it wouldn't hold a charge anymore so DH bought me this so I'd stop complaining about it going dark after only an hour.

How about a tablet? Nope. I want one though.

How long do you expect your tech stuff to last? How often do you upgrade? I expect everything to last for years and am always super disappointed when stuff stops working as well as it did when I bought it. I do tend to upgrade my phones every 2 years when I'm able to get the $ towards it with my contract. I seriously thought about switching to a android phone last year, but it seemed like too much of a pain to learn a new system and input everything when a new iPhone would be set up for me instantly.

Laptop - MacBook Pro (I believe it is 2+ yrs old) and an OLD Dell laptop but we rarely use it.

iPad (iPad 2, I believe)

Cell phones are upgraded every 2-ish years (depending on when another iphone comes out). Other items are used as long as possible. I don't need the latest laptop/e-reader/tablet.
