  How long do you expect your tech stuff to last? How often do you upgrade? We upgrade our phones every two years or so - everything else we don't replace until it's dead.

  PC at the office, iPad at home but we have a PC too. I have a kindle (3rd gen) but use my iPad now. iPad Air I bought myself for the holidays. Sometimes I use my iPhone too. I plan on getting the 6 in the fall.

  Friday, December 28 2012. The day I had emergency appendix surgery in Mexico and quit smoking. Proof that everything has a good side!! DH and I are happily child-free!! No due date or toddler tickers here!! my read shelf:

  How long do you expect your tech stuff to last?  How often do you upgrade?   We get a new computer every 4-5 years. I've had my iPad for 3+ years and it still works as well as it did when I first got it, but I know at some point I won't be able to upgrade the software so I'll end up getting a new one then.

  Do you use a PC or laptop? What brand? Both, my husband's friend built them both so they aren't a brand.

  
  

  Do you own an ereader? Which one? I have a Kindle Keyboard. I always just called it "the really old Kindle" until I saw a few of your mention the Kindle Keyboard.

  How long do you expect your tech stuff to last? How often do you upgrade? I've never thought about it. I've had my Kindle forever which is fine with me. My husband got me my iPad because he thought I should have one but I could definitely survive without it.

  I hope this laptop will last at least the next 3 years. I have no idea how long Kindle's typically last, but I've had mine 2 years already and have no problems with it at all. I upgrade when I absolutely have too, ie things are broken so bad they no longer turn on.

  Do you use a PC or laptop?  What brand? I have 2 laptops, both macs.  DH has one, Toshiba Windows-based

  How about a tablet?  DH has one through work, but we use it mainly to play games and watch The Daily Show in bed
  

  
  

  How long do you expect your tech stuff to last?  How often do you upgrade?  Both DH and I are late upgraders, we go as long as we can.  The only reason we got new laptops last year was because his flat out died and mine had a problem with the screen that would cost as much to fix as a new one.  I kept the old and have it hooked up to a monitor for use as a desktop.
