@LuckyAngel07 - You really scored! Looks like an awesome haul!

Ultrasounds? Betas? Appointments? First prenatal appointment is May 1st.  I'm trying not to get my hopes up to hear a heartbeat because I've heard my OB doesn't do that until after 12 weeks.  Boo!

    Thanks!

And just so you know, my OB nurse wasn't sure at 11 weeks if she'd be able to get the hb with just their Doppler (much less sensitive than u/s); that's probably why your doc doesn't do hb before 12 weeks. Aren't you having a first u/s though?? If nothing else, you could always see if your insurance covers the NT scan/sequential screen, which needs to be done by around 13 weeks. Then you'd get to hear the hb AND see baby if your doc's office doesn't do an early u/s.

    Already Mommies:

    LOs Age(s): 11 weeks

Best part of your week? Tonight, Colin and I skyped with DH who is traveling. Colin was so happy to see him he pulled my phone closer to his face. Melted my heart! Also, I have a second interview tomorrow!

Worst part of your week? I had another seizure... I was in the car with FIL when it happened

Milestones? Colin now smoothly follows objects by turning his head and has going his voice. He does NOT stop babbling. Ever.

  • @LuckyAngel07 - I've heard that my practice only does a first u/s if you're unsure of dates or are high risk. I've heard that they only do the a/s and don't worry otherwise. I spoke to my insurance company yesterday and they said that as long as my OB codes everything into one package of prenatal/postnatal care, they will cover anything and everything so I may go out on a limb and ask. I don't know that I can wait until 16-20 weeks to see everything and know it's all ok.

@pennstated912 - Sorry to hear about your seizure. I hope they get everything regulated and working well for you again. I can't imagine.
