What Really Weird Habits Do You/Your Husband Have?

This is inspired by Danger's confession about her husband who likes to do interesting things in the bathroom lol.

What really weird, embarrassing habits do you and/or your husband have?

Re: What Really Weird Habits Do You/Your Husband Have?

  • I love going through DH's beard and pulling the hairs that are ingrown.
DH poops with the door open EVERY time. It drives me crazy!
I pick at my toe nails if they aren't painted.

  • DH locks the door every time he gets in the shower in the morning...we have one bathroom and get ready at the same time. Not cool, dude.

    I pop/pick at my body acne. =;

DH doesn't put his dirty clothes in his hamper...they sit on top until they fall off.

DH thinks it's weird, but I have to do things in the kitchen in a certain order or I have a minor freak out.

  • If something happens on one side of my body, I have to make it happen on the other side or I feel uneven. Like, if someone touches my shoulder, I have to touch the other shoulder.

DH has to be out of the bathroom before the water is gone from the toilet when he flushes. I don't know why.

  • Lol those are kind of funny.. @lfk2013 that sucks he locks the door. I'd kill my h if he did that.. One bathroom is hard for a woman! The kitchen made me laugh. I am OCD about things. Everywhere. I have to have everything in a certain spot. I will notice as soon as something is out of place, I need to fix it. I need a fresh towel every time I take a shower... I do lots of laundry... Lol

  • I love to get the blackheads from Tom's nose/shoulders. I hate it because it's gross but it makes me feel accomplished to get all the fuckers. lol.

Tom has to shake his booty in front of his armoire in the morning while still in his boxers. He says it wakes him up and gets the junk realigned.

  • I count steps as I take them.  I also will get something (like a name) stuck in my head and will say it over and over for days.  Often out loud.  I can't have dishes in the sink overnight- ever.  I also can't live with appliances out on countertops.  I sleep with a pillow over my face.

DH can't have food touching, and he eats one thing at a time.  He has a weird phobia of band-aids and can't even see one without freaking out.  You also can't touch the inside of his elbow,

  • H gets zits on his head and we have "zit popping time" each week.
He presses his forehead against the window every time he looks out it. No matter where we're at.  He swears he just doesn't have good depth perception.
He also has to have the toilet lid closed or he will freak out (I'm bad about this).  He can't get dressed after his shower until he cleans his ears with a Qtip.

I can't have things on countertops. The bed has to be made before I will get in it.  I count stairs every time I go up them, but not down them. The silverware has to be in a neat stack in the drawer or I will take them out and reorganize them. I touch my love handles periodically while running to feel how much they jiggle.  If I can't sleep or am nervous I will twirl my hair.

    Yes, I'm OCD.

  • I cannot have my food touch. I would totally buy plates with separators if I could. It freaks me out!

I also have to tie my straw wrapper when I get one. I put it in a knot and pull it until it breaks.

DH bites his spoon when he is eating. The noise drives me nuts! I can't think of any others right now.

Song lyrics are big for me too.  Just the chorus or whatever.

  • I need to have the silverware separated in the dishwasher and it drives me crazy when they are all mixed up.  I've gotten H to stick to that rule, but when MIL is visiting, she just throws everything in the dishwasher and I have to walk away so I don't go off about it.

H has to rub his nose like crazy before he can blow it.  It makes this nasty squishing sound and I have to either get away from him or turn the volume up to drown out the noise.

  • I've confessed this on here before, but I don't remember the context.

I have a happy face. Whenever I get extremely happy, my noses itches and the only way I can scratch it is cupping my left hand over my right fist, putting them to my nose, and rubbing my right fist into my left hand. I have been doing it since I was a child, I have no idea why, and no I can't stop it. I tried and closes I got was putting my hands to my chin, but my nose will continue to itch. I've had people say I look like a chipmunk when I do it. DH finds it funny when we're sitting watching tv and I'm just thinking something that makes me happy and I do it. If I try to fight the urge and someone taps my nose or rubs there's, I will be unable not to.

I can't think of one for DH at the moment, I'm sure I will later.

  • When DH is drinking a beer from a can, he will double tap it on the counter/bar/table whatever before he drinks it if he put it down between drinks. Every single time. But it doesnt if hes holding it between drinks or is drinking from a bottle or a glass.

I chew the inside of my cheek when I am stressed out. DH says I look like a crack head suffering from withdrawl when I do it. Thanks hun. Then I caught myself in a mirror one time and I truely do look like something is seriously wrong with me.

  • I don't swallow pills well at all and I have to do it a certain way. I take a drink of water and swish it around 2-3 times, pop the pill in, left hand has to be behind my back in the small of my back, and then I swish the water with the pill until it feels "right" to swallow. DH cannot talk to me while I'm doing this or else he gets the hand until I get it down.

I also must have my clothes organized by type and color. I'm sure I have lots of other weirdo things that I do but I can't of them at the moment. DH doesn't really have anything weird that he does that I can think of. He's like the perfect man. It's wonderful and disgusting at the same time lol. He's a clean freak and is SO bothered by clutter... Compared to me, that's really weird. Does that count?

In Christ alone my hope is found. He is my LIGHT, my STRENGTH, and my SONG!

  • I have to sleep on the side of the bed closest to the door. This comes from a fear of dying in a fire. Sorry, DH. I never completely unpack from vacations (I still have tampons in a suitcase from 2 years ago).

DH puts all his toenail clippings in a pile before throwing them out. He does this in the living room. Gross. He also rolls all his shorts in the drawer, and he has to hang shirts as he gets to them while folding clothes. It wastes sooooooo much time and drives me nuts (I put all my folded stuff in piles by drawer and make a separate pile for hanging. Then I put them all away together).

I hate the sound of stickers being peeled off something. I refuse to take off price tags (like off of glassware), DH has to do it. And if sitting in a classroom I also have to sit closest to the door in case of emergency, not bc I'm scared, but bc I'm too nice and would let everyone leave before me and get burned to death otherwise. I have to be first haha.
