  • @luckyangel07 what did you test drive and what did you rule out?
We test drove the Nissan Xterra and Jeep's Cherokee and Wrangler (4-door, hard top).

DH wants something with 4-wheel drive for light off road/snow/sand and also easier driving on some of his job sites (his 2-wheel drive truck occasionally has issues).

He ruled out the Cherokee as far as really having the capability he wants (it's closer to an SUV you'd keep to the road rather than take off-road or on the beach or anything, although we did both like the drive).

He's just going back and forth between the Wrangler (which he has wanted FOREVER) and the Xterra. He can't make up his mind. Hahaha. It'll be his primary vehicle, but we both want to be able to use it for trips and it not be a hassle for loading/unloading a car seat/kid.
The vehicle we just traded in was an Xterra.  It always seemed very safe and solid to me.  It handled snow really well too.

Go for the Wrangler! :) I have a 4 door hard top and I adore it. It's my daily driver and I have zero complaints. It's very comfortable (even the back seat), easy to pop the top panels off for those gorgeous days where you don't want to take the entire top off, and it's fabulous for climbing mountains (or whatever)! We drove it from TX up into Colorado (and did 4 wheel driving all over the mountains of CO and New Mexico) so we were in the car most of the time, and it was a very comfortable drive.

In Christ alone my hope is found. He is my LIGHT, my STRENGTH, and my SONG!

Not exciting to me, but my mom really wanted to drive the Blue Ridge Parkway.  We have a few nights in Ashville NC and some in Hilton Head SC.

  • Thanks for the input @nfp147 and @RockaBye! I'll pass the info along to DH to see if helps him at all, hahaha. (Knowing the Wrangler is comfortable for long drives is reassuring, too, since that WILL happen!)

I'll just get an inch or two off. I hate having short hair. Mine is boob length and I like it like that. I feel like it is so much easier to maintain.

Yes! I would love some recommendations <3</p>

Oskar Blues is so fun and they have great beer. Barleys is good to eat at and Bruisin Ales had a ridiculous selection to take with. You know you'll want some roadies :)

If you get a chance while in HH, we have some pretty good breweries in SC to try. Coast is great, Holy City is pretty good, Conquest and River Rat are good, too. People love Westbrook, but I had a terrible experience at the brewery and have since kind of boycotted them.
