We registered before we eloped, so we didn't really tell anyone about it. Anything from the registry that we did get, we use. MIL bought us some really ugly dessert bowls and salad plates from the PLACE we registered from, but not what we actually registered for. We have used them once. DH wouldn't let me exchange them. But considering we weren't expecting gifts at all, I guess it's ok :-) I work at said registry place now, so I've been buying the stuff we wanted at a discounted price anyways :-p

Registered for but don't use: Our wine glasses. We were dumb and registered for square shaped glasses because they looked cool. Discovered very quickly they're very hard to drink from so we got actual wine glasses instead.

Didn't register for and don't use: Random artwork

Use all the time: Our dishes. We didn't register for china and got really nice everyday stuff instead.
Can you PIP the wine glasses? I'd never seen that before! A quick image search shows both cylindrical ones with a right angle around the bottom and ones that are more like cubes. Did you have cube-like ones, then?

  • Registered for: a really cool insulated backpack. One day we will leave the house again, I hope.

Didn't register for: a weird basket thing from Tiffany. I exchanged it immediately for earrings. :)

Use all the time: sheets, towels, flatware

Ours were Mikasa Pinache. We got all three damn sizes (big, medium, and flute) and they're all impossible to drink from.

Registered for, Don't Use: A ridiculously pretentious and expensive picnic basket that, while adorable, has not once been used.

Didn't Register For, Got, Don't Use: A hideous blanket that says Daughter In Law, a mashed potato maker (both from MIL).

Use a Lot: Our set of dishes, our amazing cookware, and our appetizer trays that we use every time we have guests.
    You must PIP!
Omg I just saw this somehow. I will definitely snap a picture tonight when I get home and PIP for all its hideous glory!
