Happy Friday!! What are you reading?
Good morning ladies. So what are you reading and how do you like it so far? Is it for any of the challenges?
Friday, December 28 2012. The day I had emergency appendix surgery in Mexico and quit smoking. Proof that everything has a good side!! DH and I are happily child-free!! No due date or toddler tickers here!!

I'm still on Wedding Night which is pretty good.
It's taken me a long time to read it!

I'm listening to Mr. Penumbra's 24 Hour Bookstore. I didn't read a single review or summary or anything about this one beforehand, just went off NBC recommendations, and I'm loving it! I didn't know what to expect at all, and I love that it's a puzzle, and how fun it is so far. I'm about 1/3 into it.
What I'm reading is another story. I finished Joyland by Stephen King last night and I completely loved it. Again, it was such a fun little story. The two I'm now torn between are Five Days at Memorial (I picked it up after hearing so many good things, even though I wasn't sure I wanted to get into it) or Radiance of Tomorrow, a novel by Ishmael Beah, who wrote A Long Way Gone (a memoir of his time as a child soldier in Sierra Leone). I ended up starting Five Days at Memorial, but can't decide whether to stick with it or not. I'm not sure I want to get into the tragedy of it all, but then again, I really enjoyed Columbine, though I don't know if that's a fair comparison. Help?
These will be 21 and 22 for the year. No goals, no challenges.
Sugar & Spice
Reading The Golem and the Jinni. I am not that far in but I am in love already. I love my ILs but they can leave so I have more time to read ;-)
I am listening to Grand Finale by Janet Evanovich.

My sweet babies:

It's good, but it's no The Giver.
“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to."
"I don't much care where –"
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go.”
