Yuck.  I've been running on a broken toe since mid April.  It's turned purple.  Hope it heals fast!

  • My H is scheduling an interview for a company near Baltimore sometime in the next two weeks. From what I can tell, the company and the area seem great. So while that is exciting, my confession is that the one thing I thought I need to do before potentially leaving NE is the chocolate bar in Boston!       NE G2G anyone?

  • I'm on extremely over my job right now. SO PISSED at my boss. Irratated at my co worker. I usually like it here, but I cannot wait for today to be over. I need to hold in my rage and make it out of here without getting fired. I'm on vacation next week, so I'll have plenty of cool off time.

I think it is in the best interest of those around me that I read on my PC all day today. So that is what I shall do.

  • I don't think I can read The Fault in Our Stars.  DH watched the trailer for the movie, and it gave me all the feels.  As a cancer kid myself (although I was a lot younger than the MC when I was sick), I think it will give me flashbacks to things I'd rather not remember/can't remember and I will need therapy afterwards.  Ditto to the movie.

Naturally DH wants to see this film.

I was cautious on reading this too since im a young adult survivor but it was a good book and I am glad I read it. Having said that, I was very judgmental during it too cause I felt some of it was overdramatic and having worked with cancer kids and teens before, some of the scenes were hard for me to see happen in real life .

My team in my capstone class ruined the professor's automatic A promise for future classes and I don't feel one bit guilty.

The first half of the class was an online competition with thousands of other students around the world and the prof had said if we place in the top 10% it's an automatic A for the whole class. Well, we were #37 in the world.

Once we found that out, our motivation for the rest of the class dropped to 0 (hello, we're all seniors about to graduate!). We still did the work but after our last presentation he said, "I can tell some of you didn't put the time into this you would have if you hadn't known you were getting an A. I'm going to have to revisit that policy for future classes."

YOU KNEW WHAT THIS WAS WHEN YOU GAVE US THE A.

I had to do this too and it kinda sucked, I wish the professor graded a little better! The group I was stuck with were NOT the best! Did you get to pick your own group? What are you majoring in?

We didn't get to pick our own group and honestly me and one of the other girls on our team did most of the work. The guy on it was just along for the ride, but I don't even care anymore really. I'm over it and ready to be done. I'm majoring in Business Administration with an HR Concentration. Actually about to head into my very last class ever! :D

The pants I'm wearing are hemmed with safety pins and have been for a long time.  I keep forgetting that I need to fix them until I go to put them on.  I think they've been like that for well over a year.

I've been debating whether or not I should apply to get the state license to be a school counselor. I have all of the education and experience to apply for it.

My confession is that I'm afraid to tell my H because he will probably roll his eyes and think that I don't know what in the world I want.

That would normally seem kind of shitty but the problem is that he's right, and I wouldn't blame him for thinking this is just another idea I came up with to figure out what I want to do with my life when I grow up. I do this to him all the time.

Is the application process strenuous and/or expensive? Having more options is never a bad thing!

What kind of commitment would it take? It sounds more like opening more doors for yourself.  If you already have the education, I don't see how this could really be a bad thing.

  • One more confession: I take my t-shirts in to be hemmed up an inch (or three) because I'm too short for the lengths t-shirts come in these days. And my boobs won't fit in a smaller size.

Instead of studying for my licensing exam whild dd is sleeping, I read one chapter in my study manual and then went to work on a scrapbook I am making for my pregnant coworker. I justified this by saying that I have all weekend to study and that looking at the pretty scrapbook pages will make me happy on this gloomy day !

I'm going to kill my boss if he doesn't quit sending me work emails to just my personal email address.  They've all ended up in the junk folder and I'm "not getting" them.  He's a technological luddite so I know someone else had to have put my email in there for him, and I may kill that person, too, if I ever figure out who did it.
