Happy Friday! What are you reading?
Hi all

so what are you reading and how do you like it? Is it for a challenge or just fun?
Friday, December 28 2012. The day I had emergency appendix surgery in Mexico and quit smoking. Proof that everything has a good side!! DH and I are happily child-free!! No due date or toddler tickers here!!

Re: Happy Friday! What are you reading?
Finishing Under the Never Sky if I ever have a lunch break ever again.
Trying to get back into Lonesome Dove. I like it but nothing really happens. I haven't forced myself to keep reading so it's been easy to put down.
I want to get through UtNS because I have The Dinner and Dreams of Gods and Monsters on cue.
Izzy and Baby A ~ Adorable Punks

I am about 70% through A Feast for Crows and trying to finish Sailing to Capri before I have to return it to the library on Monday. They are #27 and 28 for the year.
listening to "lover eternal" by J.D. Ward.....loving this series!!
reading "stuck on you" by cheryl harper and "the boy next door" by Meg Cabot
I'm still reading Five Days at Memorial. I don't know that I can say I'm enjoying it, but I can't stop reading it. It seems a little bit biased to me, and I'm not overly impressed with the writing, and the whole situation is a little horrifying, but overall it's fascinating. I'm going to have a tough time rating this one when I finish.
I finished listening to Mr. Penumbra yesterday, and completely loved it. What an excellent little story! This morning I started Silver Linings Playbook, but I'm only about 20 minutes into the audiobook, so no opinion yet.
These are numbers 22 and 23 for the year.
Sugar & Spice
Reading Firebird by Susanna Kearsley. I like it so far and can't wait to read at lunch.
Reading Stanislavski Never Wore Tap Shoes: Musical Theater Acting Craft by Burke Moses. It's helpful. I'm terrible at acting and need some pointers. This is a very practical guide, which I truly appreciate. Kind of a "fake it til you make it" approach to acting.
Listening to And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini. I'm about one disc in, and the book hasn't really captured my interest yet, but I will keep going.

I'm also reading Outlander on my phone when I can't sleep.
“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to."
"I don't much care where –"
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go.”
― Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland
I'm listening to Hopeless (reread). I'm really enjoying this one again.
BFP 1/8/11 - U/S 2/24/11 (11wks) no heartbeat measuring 6w1d - D&C 2/28/11
I brought home my lunchtime book, Eye of the World by Robert Jordan, so now maybe I can finally start making some headway.
The Bloodletter's Daughter by Linda Lafferty on my Kindle, and
The Botany of Desire by Michael Pollan from the library.
I'm reading Quiet by Susan Cain and just started The Archived by Victoria Schwab. Quiet is really fascinating and i love the atmosphere in The Archived so far.
I'm just starting Before I Go to Sleep by S. J. Watson. I'm not sure what number I'm up to, but I know I'm on track for my goal of 52 for the year!
These are 34 and 35 for the year.
In the Garden of Beasts by Erik Larson
