SBC: Book you haven't read in a while: These Happy Golden Years (NS)
So yesterday I finished a book I'd been reading all last week, and was looking for something else to read when I saw my Little House books on my shelf. It's been so long since I've read them, I decided to re-read These Happy Golden Years. It's always been my favorite one, and I've read my copy so many times it's falling apart. It didn't disappoint.
I loved it every bit as much as all the other times I've read it. I loved putting myself on the prairie and thinking what it would be like to have lived then. Wishing I had a brown poplin dress like Laura, and how fun it would be to go for sleigh rides with Almanzo.
Reading that book again was like going home. Like catching up with an old friend you haven't spoken with in ages - happy and full of warmth and love.

This is my favorite in the series too!
“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to."
"I don't much care where –"
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go.”

This is a series I can't wait to share with future kids.
