....Happened 9 years ago today!

We met online and I finally agreed to meet him for dinner after talking via email/phone for about three weeks. We've been together ever since. I officially moved in 5 months later, but pretty much lived at his house after a month. The picture is from a baseball game we went to one of the first few weeks after we started dating. The other from a couple weeks ago at Easter.

Where was your first date? How did you meet? Was it "love at first sight?" or did you hate him?

We met almost 15 years ago through a co-worker of mine. The following week I went on holidays and dreamt about him. Two weeks later we went on our first date to see The Blair Witch Project and watch our local buskers festival. We've been inseparable ever since. I think it was love at first sight.

We met randomly at an event. He thought I was dating the guy I was at the table with (who is never met before) and I thought he was with his friend. We saw each other two weeks later and realized we were both single and we've talked every day since.

We hung out a few times before our first date. On one occassion, I got a little more drunk than planned. I pick up litter when drunk. I didnt realize I picked up trash with him until he told me on our second date and that sealed it for me. He was in love with me from the beginning.

We met at church when we were 14. I remember walking into the youth group room to be introduced to everyone my age and saw him and my first thought was, "I'm going to date that guy." We were very platonic friends and then 2 years later, he became my first boyfriend and we've been together ever since. Our first date was just hanging out at his house and the mall. Typical teenagery stuff.

We met online and chatted for about 3 weeks before we met. Our first date was on a Thursday. He took me for a nice dinner, was polite to the wait-staff and tipped well. Then we went for a nice walk and stopped on a patio for a drink. He took the next day off, made a picnic lunch and met me at work for lunch. On the Saturday we went for dinner and a movie. We've spoken every single day since.

It wasn't love at first sight for me. I wasn't sure for a couple weeks and almost broke up with him. My mom convinced me that I just wasn't used to someone treating me so well. She's a smart lady.

We met at a bar. He didn't ask for my number, so I tracked him down at his place of business and emailed that I thought it would be fun to hang out with him. First date was dinner and trivia at a bar. We were inserpable from that first date forward.

We met our freshman year of college. We lived in the same dorm, on the same floor, and we had a lot of mutual friends. It took a few months for us to start dating. I don't know that I remember our first actual date... things just fell into place, and we were a couple before we knew it.

We met when I was 19, so twelve years ago. We met at a friend's house. We dated for a couple of years but neither of us wanted anything serious. A couple of years went by and then we randomly saw each other one night and we've been together ever since.

It's weird because even though I wasn't ready for anything serious when I was younger, I always held a torch for him and compared him to all the other guys I dated.

We "met" 11 years ago this summer when I joined the community band. Apparently I caught his eye then, but he thought he was too old for me and I wasn't really attracted because of some physical things-which makes me sound shallow. We never had a real conversation until July 4th 5 years ago. He joined a friend and I for fireworks the next night and we started to hang out. Our first date was the 25th when he took me for dinner, a movie and fireworks...we've been inseparable since then.

Where was your first date? Pizza Hut. :-)

How did you meet? P.E. Class in high school. He had big feet and I played a dirty game of matball (modified version of kickball). It consisted of me taunting him on first base (oh yeah....) and trying to trip his big feet.

Was it "love at first sight?" or did you hate him? Definitely wasn't love at first sight. He was kind of a "skank" then and wasn't my type. We ended up dating almost 2 years after we met, because our mutual friends set us up and I thought he had a cool car.

We met at a Less Than Jake Concert when we were in high school. I was dating someone, but C and I became friends and I never really considered him to be boyfriend material. Fast forward 10 years, I had just moved back from Nashville and we started hanging out. We had both grown up quite a bit and I have him a chance. I'm glad I did.

DH and I met two months into my freshman year of college (his junior year). We met singing in the church choir. I turned him down twice before I finally said yes to get him to stop bugging me and here we are 10.5 years later.

We met 9 yrs ago as freshmen in college. We dated for a month broke it off but stayed friends. We started dating again in 2006, engaged in 09 and married in 11.

We stayed good friends in between relationships I swore I wouldn't date him again but I am sure glad I did.

Our first date was in February 2008... We went to a local dive bar and played pool. It just happened to be "country night" which is funny because I love country music, and he HATES it! We met at work, and truthfully, I didn't remember the first time we actually met (I was teaching a CPR class, and he was attending). He remembered me, but we didn't start going out until a few months later. We were inseparable after a few weeks, moved in together officially 6 months after our first date.

DH and I met in college (my sophomore year and his freshmen year). We were BFFs for 3 years until one night we went to go visit my sister in MA at her school.
We were drunk and I was complaining about my perpetual single status. He leaned over and said, "Well, I love you." I laughed it off and told him I loved him, too, thinking he was telling me as a friend. He kept insisting he loved me. It got super awkward for the rest of the night. We had to drive an hour and a half back together the next morning (he claimed to not remember anything).
My roommate knew he felt this way (he confessed to her two weeks prior), so she wasn't surprised when I came back and was freaking out. I hesitated to jump right into something, but three months later we kissed, and it was old married couple from then on. I'm glad he confessed :-).

Our first official date? A local chain restaurant. He proposed there 2 years later!

We met when I was in high school and he was in college. I had friends who worked at a local store and he had friends who did also. I didn't get to know him until a couple years later at another party we were both at for mutual friends. I wouldn't say it was love at first sight, but it was a, "hmm..I kind of like that guy!"

He messaged me online, and I responded two weeks later - luckily he was still interested! Our first date was going to see The Dark Knight followed by a couple hours of talking at Barnes & Noble. I wasn't super attracted to him at first because he had a bad haircut, but his personality overcame that.

I almost didn't respond to Jimothy's wink at me...because he was "old". I was 25. He was 33. But then I saw that he was a mailman who made between $50,000-$75,000 and I was FLOORED that mailman made that much money. I sent him a message telling him just that.

So. Basically, from our first interaction, he knew I was after his money.

We met at church at the beginning of my 5th year of college. DH was just starting his master's program and was new. I went up to him with another guy friend and introduced myself. DH claims to not remember that. We became friends, but DH was interested in me. I thought he was too "good guy" for me. He asked me out to lunch and then to dinner, I was really confused because he never tried to kiss me, so I thought we were just friends still. He finally kissed me 3 months after our first lunch date!

We first met 9 years ago last month. We worked together in a concession stand and I was currently dating one of the other guys there. DH and I talked a lot at work and gave each other a hard time because we went to rival high schools. The guy that I was dating and I broke up and had a falling out one night at work. He was my ride home so DH offered to leave early to drive me home. It was 4th of July so on the way out we stopped and watched the fireworks. We started dating a month later. It wasn't love at first sight for me...I thought he was obnoxious but DH said it was for him

Fireworks are still a special thing for us.

We met on the morning of our first day of orientation at grad school - apparently. DH says he sat next to me and tried to make conversation, but I'm a lover of paperwork. I was so absorbed in the info packets they had just given us that I don't remember this and DH concluded I was a bitch. Apparently we also had a class together that first semester and I didn't notice.

We had a class together the following semester and were both more "alone" there, as the class was made up of more older students than first-years. He sat behind me and we got to know each other for a few weeks before our first date in late January 2010. Our first date was at his apartment because he had just had his license suspended for a few months (though apparently he drove to buy food for the date anyway).

We met online in April 2005. Took me about a week or two to reply to him, I just wasn't sure I guess. Our first date was lunch at Chevy's. He was late, I was annoyed. It was not love at first sight for me. We started officially dating end of the summer, and have been together ever since.

First time we met was at Walmart when I was 17 and he was 19. He had a crush on the friend I was with and stopped to talk to us. We talked him into buying us a pack of cigarettes.

We met again through another friend at a bar when I was 19, he was just shy of 21. I had a crush on him right away and we started talking pretty quick. About a week later I sent him a message on myspace saying I liked it, a week later he asked me out in the middle of an adult book store.

Our first date was to Joe's Crab Shack because I had never been there. After we went to Best Buy and he bought Guitar Hero and we went back to his place and played.

We met at a holiday party in MA. We were both in relationships (that we knew were about to end). I wasn't attracted to him, so I cut our conversation short around five minutes (I'm a shallow asshole). We started talking on Facebook after that and became friends. I guess our first date was when I played hookie to drive up to MA (from NJ) and we went hiking. We weren't official until about two months later when I asked him to be my boyfriend. Tomorrow is actually the two year anniversary of that day.
