Chart stalks/rants/Thoughts: I think I finally figured out my cycle and know roughly when I ovulate. I'm reeeeeally hoping I get pregnant soon and I know H wants his grandma to be able to meet our baby...she had a brain tumor removed last summer but the surgeon botched her surgery and now she is mentally disabled.  She remembers her family but she is a completely different person now.   It;s well known that H is her fave grandchild so it would mean so much to everyone if she got to meet his child.

  • Pregnant Girls:

How many weeks: 31 weeks tomorrow! We go Thursday for another scan to see how big baby is getting!

How are you feeling? Still feeling pretty great. I worked all through 2nd trimester with a physical therapist on my hips and tail bone area so luckily I have been able to avoid the pain coming back. Only complaint still is having to pee literally every 10 minutes!

Rants/Thoughts/Bump pics? No new bump pic yet this week. I should have taken one this weekend with my sister in law but didn't think about it till we left. Below is a pic off my Mothers Day gift for those who aren't friends with me on Facebook, coach diaper bag and kindle paper white! Truth be told we had gift cards for both or I wouldn't have gotten either LOL!

    W2O or 2WW? Waiting for O/IUI

Testing plans: Does monitoring every day/every other day at the RE count?

Chart stalks/rants/Thoughts: Not today. Sunday was rough, really rough. I didn't think it would be that hard but it was. We actually ended up cancelling plans to have a BBQ at our house with a bunch of family in the afternoon because I was so sad. Our family was very understanding of us cancelling. I'm still very down this cycle. DH is being fantastic at trying to cheer me up and help me to have hope for this cycle. Other than that sad rant... I'm just giving myself shots every night!

How are you feeling? Tired, but I'm getting less migraines.  So that's a plus.

Rants/Thoughts/Bump pics?  Not much.  I can't wait to get to a point where this all feels real.  The reality that there is a tiny human growing in my uterus needs to sink it.  Hoping that will happen when I start to show and feel movements.
  • @islandmonkey8 I'm so sorry you are going through this.  I don't really know what to say, just know that you're in my T&P.

  • Welcome @pockysquirrel‌

I'm sorry for you had a rough time Sunday @islandmonkey8....I took it harder than I expected too.

    TTC:

    Cycle/month: 11/11

    Cd: 5 W2O

Testing plans: just going to so OPKs again this month and not temp. I feel like that is useless at this point.

Rants: sorry, I have quite a few

well closing on our house made CD 1 a little more bearable Friday, but then the doubt started to creep in. We have this beautiful big house and I'm afraid we won't be able to fill it.....

And like monkey, Mother's Day turned out to be harder than I thought. Especially since all the women I know expecting got special messages everywhere. It was nice to seclude myself cleaning the house. I didn't share it with DH, because I know he would think it was silly.

Lastly, my period was 1 day again, making it 4/5 this year only being 1 day. I went ahead and called my dr because I figured that can't be ok and since it takes forever to get in for appointments, I wanted to make my yr appointment. Well they want me to come in a month (so in cycle 12) to start the testing. I feel a sense of relief that maybe I'll find out what is wrong with me soon, but also this terrible pit in my stomach that's IF is also "official". And I called my insurance and found out that my coverage has a lifetime max of $2000 for IF, which I have to imagine just the testing is going to blow through. The insensitive rep made me cry by the end of the conversation, saying well do you know how expensive infertility is?? Nope, never considered that. Thanks for understanding how much of an emotional toll it could be.

    Roller coaster over here......

I hope that they are able to figure out what is going on soon.  You are not being a whiner.  We are all here for you and feel free to vent whenever you need to.

How are you feeling? Really crampy and gross. I had cramps coming every 20 minutes all night. Now I have wicked heartburn and my entire stomach feels like a giant pulled muscle. And I have pubis symphasis dysfunction going on, so that's fun.

  • @lwoehlk - Do you know if the $2000 includes testing? Because sometimes diagnostic testing isn't considered part of IF coverage. But if it is, ask your doctor to see if they can run some of it through for non-IF reasons (like amenorrhea or something). Some doctors are willing and able to help with this when they know you have little or no IF coverage. I hope you don't need the doctor's appointment at all though!

I wasn't sure and that's why I called to ask. I plan to call back because he wasn't helpful and had a really thick accent. But he said testing was included in that $2k. I looked through my insurance coverage and it says family planning, planning for problems of fertility & infertility ARE covered, and in the NOT covered section the IF section said it doesn't cover IUI, IVF, but doesn't say anything about testing. The obgyn office said I should talk to billing since they may be able to not flag some things as IF. I'm debating just going straight to an RE though. They are better qualified, but I don't know how expensive it will be.

@islandmonkey8‌ did you start at your obgyn with testing or go straight to an RE. Thanks!!

My obgyn recommended me to a RE because he knew I was beyond his scope. I was only trying about 6 months at that point. But once you hit a year, going to a RE first is the best thing. Even their office might be able to code your billing best. Also, my RE's office made calls to my insurance before we began treatment/testing to confirm what was covered and how much things would cost. I would think that most RE's offices would be willing to do this for you as well.

This was the case for me as well.  I would definitely recommend going straight to an RE.  They can bill things the same way an OB will as far as testing goes.

SPD is AWFUL!! I had it to the point where it was debilitating with my daughter. The only advice I can offer is to invest in a good belly support band with a stomach strap and if at all possible try to see a chiropractor! I didn't believe in chiropractics until I got so desperate I would try anything . My chiropractor was my saving grace! Even though it didn't take the pain away entirely it made it possible for me to walk for very short periods of time :) Thankfully you are close to the end!
  • Thanks @islandmonkey8‌ and. @‌ystaalenburg! My gut (and memory from all the stuff posted about clomid on TB) told me the answer was to go straight to the RE, but the insurance bad news bear scared me into thinking that the obgyn might be a good start. I guess I should probably start researching good RE offices then....could I add anything more to my plate?! Haha

    image
  • @lwoehlk‌ I definitely recommend going to the RE. My on was willing to put me on clomid, but it would have done nothing for me since it is DH's issue...not mine.
  • Thanks guys. Where does one even begin to look up REs?!

And sorry to all the mommies and mommies-to-be for being such a post whore today! Ha

  • @lwoehlk‌ I can't believe that guy was so insensitive. If you have to pay out of pocket, let billing know. It's ridiculous how much they will take off billing you vs billing insurance. My mom's insurance wouldn't pay for wellness visits, including her bone marrow biopsies to make sure she was still in remission from leukemia. It was 2k and when she told them she was paying out of pocket that they charged her $200.

I think you got great advice concerning the RE. Just wanted you to know we're all rooting for you.
