  Depends on the trip... 

  
  

  Our 6-month 'round-the-world trip: $21K.

  Our 10-day England trip: $3K.

  Our 2-week Hawaii trip: $4K.

  Our 2-week Peru trip: $5K.

  Our 1-week Bahamas trip: $1500 (plus miles).

  
  

  But we also go on a lot of smaller trips, camping trips, or dance camp trips where we might only spend $200-$1000.

  
  

  Personally, I'd rather take a lot of trips and to stay at the destinations longer, than to stay at fancy resorts.

  Once a year Disneyland for about 3500 to 4000, this will be our vacation for the next couple of years. When DD is a bit older we will branch out.

  We like going on trips and take DD along with us (expect last July, when DH and I went on our honeymoon).

  
  

  Closer trips we average $300-800 depending on where we go and for how long.

  Disney World (2011, 2013 & this December): $2000-$3500 - we stay at different places every time so it is dependent on what we do.
