@luckyangel07 - I'm not as opposed to Jamie, but I'd really prefer it just to be James.  Although that does have a small side effect of always bringing LL Cool J to mind...

  • Not a fan of anything I would name my dog--Lola, or Roger (super cute dog name(!!) though.)

80s names---blagh! I think it fits the girls now who have it but I couldn't imagine calling a baby, "Misty, Amanda, Tiffany, etc," --just weird.

Love the old school names like: Ava (H loves it a (and so do I) because of actress "Ava Gardner" but unfortunately it's been a bit overused), Louella (great-grandmothers name), Alice, etc.

I despise the name Martha--unfortunately, that's my MIL's name so H wants to incorporate it somewhere--I say, "ok, fine; my mom's name was Sabra," and he'll shut up lol. I love my moms name--just not for a baby.

By the way... That's Lola in the floorboard of my car trying to convince me to let her go. "Please mom! I wanna go! Pleeeease!"
  • I have a gf whose name is Jaime (spelling is a little different) and everyone calls her James. She just got married to the lead singer of a country band so BRIDES mag just did a spread on her wedding--I'm in there too =D haven't seen it yet though.
  • Kayden, Aiden, Jaden, Hayden......
These. Anything trendy and "cool." Anything generally stupid like "Tough." Yes I have actually heard that last name.

Repurposing old names like Ethel, Gretchen, Lorraine etc. leave them in the past where they belong.
