3T Check In

If you have any changes to this list, wish to be removed, added, or have graduated (yay!), please shoot me a PM.

FYI: We don't want to exclude some ladies, but this is a check in for ladies who are unfortunately having trouble trying to conceive (TTTC=3T). If you've been trying for more than a year and/or have been diagnosed with any form of infertility OR are now pursuing adoption or have decided to remain childless following a 3T journey, you are welcome to join us.

Updates: Ok ladies... where are we at this week? Testing, Procedures, Appointments, Adoption updates, Life updates? What’s going on, etc. Let's hear all about it!

QOTW: If you could live anywhere in the world (don't think about expenses) where would it be and why?

Update: Just stabbing myself every night. Hoping for IUI within the next week. Trying not to be as down about all this as I feel most of the time.

QOTW: Cinderella's Castle. No joke. That is my dream to live in Disney World. But, they don't allow that. So, Hawaii where it is always warm and beautiful - but only if family came as well because it is FAR from Jersey. If not Hawaii, Palm Coast, Florida. I love the heat, seriously. And I'd be close to WDW and WWoHP. I'll deal with hurricanes for no more snow.

  • @futuremrswright2012 - so exciting!! Good luck!!

@amandaf6383 - He was not ever comfortable with the idea of IUI, but he was willing to look into starting it. I went to have my CD3 BW drawn the other day and they said that we would be starting IUI this month because DH needs to do BW and we needed to meet with the RE together and sign consent forms. He kind of took that as a sign that we aren't meant to start now.
He also found 1 thing on the internet that is now like stuck in his head, some side effect about a leaking ovary. It's ridiculous but he obviously isn't ready to start further testing so I can't force him to.

@islandmonkey8‌ Hope this results in good news!
@Sewilson33‌ does your RE have a rec for you? I know our office has one that they refer people to.
@amandaf6383‌ Hope you RE appointment goes well tomorrow!
@FutureMrsWright2012‌ Yay for getting to start IVF! Hope this gives you a great result!

Update: Met with the RE on Monday. I go back for more bloodwork and an ultrasound next week. We will meet again in two weeks to start talking next steps! He seemed really positive which was really relaxing for me. He also put both of us on a vitamin regimen. Fish oils and a specific multivitamin for me which I take 2, 2x a day. I'm feeling excited about the next steps now.

OOTW: there are so many places I would love to live (if we had a lot of money to fly home and see family). Maui or Kauai, Paris, and Italy are at the top of my list.

@Sewilson33‌ I'm proud of you for having a healthy attitude about waiting. That was one of the hardest things for me was to wait each step for mr cinco to be comfortable with it. But I feel like it was very important because we grew stronger and more understanding as a couple and I feel that we have been less "down on ourselves" about having to get help because we are each other's cheer leaders. Anyway, just saying keep up the good attitude and I hope you both get comfortable with the next step soon. <3

  • Hugs to all who need them! Sounds like I have to start crossing my fingers for lots of you! I may have to move to toes! I am so hopeful about treatments this month for you guys!!

This is going to be SUPER LONG. I've been saving it for the check in.

Update: I have all the home study forms printed, and DH has his physical next week. I couldn't get in until July with my GP.

Anyways, I have been having a bad 3T week. Mother's Day was easier than I anticipated, but since then, I've been a wreck. I think it's because I've had to listen to everyone talk about what their kids did for them. Gag me with a spoon.

On top of that, MIL decided to tell DH about an RE in Boston who "gets all of [our RE]'s failed patients pregnant." DH told her we are moving forward with adopting, and this is what they need to accept. He thinks someone (or several people) aren't supportive. At this point I am SO DONE with their bullshit. We have told them why we are not going to pursue IVF, and they just have blinders on.

DH and I sort of fought about them because he feels like I don't want to see his family.

And he's right. Why would I want to spend time with people who don't support us and waver between understanding and not? I HAVE educated them and tried to be open. But because my uterus doesn't want to give them bio grandchildren, I'm clearly not good enough for them. Okay, I'm projecting, but I have never felt so much anger toward family. And we have to spend the weekend with them for our nephew's baptism. Not enough wine in the world, ladies...

QOTW: Switzerland. It is the most beautiful country, and the people are incredibly welcoming. It's my dream to buy a retirement home in the Bernese Oberland.

@sewilson33 - I hope you find an acu soon. And I hope YH comes around fully to moving on to IUI soon. It sucks to have to keep waiting after this long, and you're a stronger person than I am for being so accepting of it.

No update from me. Blah blah blah.

QOTW: It's cliche, but I lean towards Hawaii simply because it's the ocean and the mountains so I could get my beach time and my Jeep time in! Really though, I'd be happy anywhere near the (usable) beach... California, New Jersey, North Carolina, anywhere overseas with sandy shores....

In Christ alone my hope is found. He is my LIGHT, my STRENGTH, and my SONG!

  • @amandaf6383‌ I so would, except we have to go to the mid-Atlantic region. And we have to drive there. We could have flown, but it's an hour from the closet airport. Instead, I will just imagine the hilarious side comments you would make. ;-)

@poppies717 hugs. I'm sorry you have to deal with people who aren't supportive.

It really irks me when I tell people we are adopting and they say things like "well I know this great doctor..." We are set in our decision. It is what it is.

The way I look at it is that we are going to be facing weird comments for the rest of our lives (esp. if our adopted children don't look like us). It's practice for the future!

ARE YOU DRIVING BY MY HOUSE?! (I know mid-atlantic is a WIDE area, but a girl can hope!)
