H was accepted for a week long wetland management course several hours north of us. While I'm SUPER proud of him for actually taking a chance and applying, and then getting accepted, I'm going to miss him so much. He leaves Sunday evening and it will be the first time we've been apart since getting married. (
I confess that I had no idea this wait would be a million times harder than the 2ww. I'm still nervous something is going to happen. It doesn't help that one of my best friends shared with us her loss about a month ago. They went in for their 8 week and the baby had stopped growing at 6. I feel like until I actually see it, I'm going to be so nervous. Every twinge is new and although probably normal, it is nerve wracking. Lord, help me get through the next 4 weeks!

That first appointment it like torture to wait for. Your mind starts to ease as time goes on, but I still worry inbetween appointments. FX for a H&H 9 months.

--- Yup. I'm telling you I peed on a stick every other day until my 8 week apt. Then I'd get nervous they wouldn't find a heartbeat before every appt after. Until now because I can feel her moving all day. Even then if it's been a while I'll poke her.

--- Haha I've resisted peeing on more tests this whole week because I worry that if for some reason, like I've got really diluted pee, it shows up lighter I will freak out completely. I think I may break down and open the other pack of FRER I have stashed at home tomorrow morning. That and all the OPKs that expire this month.
Haha, I guess a better confession would have been that I have embarrassingly pulled the tests out of the trash every time I'm in the bathroom since Monday. I'm just so excited and still in awe to actually finally see two lines. I irrationally got a little bummed when DH took out the trash last night in case our house is shown today! Lol
I confess that I really needed today. As much as I love spending time with H, it was so nice to get to spend time with somebody different for a change. I went to have lunch with my old labmate who left to go back to school. We caught up on things and ate yummy Japanese food.
On a side note, I'm confessing that I wish I had tried green tea ice cream sooner. SO amazing.
Most of my undergarments are getting to be too small and uncomforable. Pretty sure I'm driving home commando! Hopefully I beat DH home so I won't have to explain why I'm carrying in my bra and underwear.
I confess that last week we borrowed a PS4 from a friend so that I can play a video game. I've since been a lazy bum and done nothing but play it while at home so I can try and beat it.
@lwoehlk The wait for the doctor is so hard! My doctor would have seen me immediately, but I scheduled after we were 6 weeks so I knew we would see something on the ultrasound machine. I had the loss from last June on my mind, so I needed a lot of reassurance. Your feelings are normal. I know everything is healthy with my baby, but I still worry if the baby has a calm few hours.
I want to punch H in the face. He got me sick and I wanted to stay home today so that I'm for sure better for the weekend. He made me come in to work and I'm so pissed at him, but I'm not going to say anything because I don't have the energy to fight and it's just not worth it.
