Thirty's were AWESOME. It is the 40's that suck ass.
I was thinking this same thing.  Not digging the 40s so far.

I used to be one of the nicest people, always willing to help, trying to make your life easier, listening to your problems etc and ever since I had the twins I feel like I am a complete B*^$%, sorry but I don't have time for the stupid (little) stuff anymore...there are two awesome kids who now deserve my time and attention :ar!
Well, you sound like a darling friend to have.
Um, yea. I really glad I have friends with kids that don't consider me and my "stupid little stuff" an inconvenience.
From now on I will only talk to people about my dog.  She deserves all of my time and attention and I will not be bothered by anyone's stupid little stuff not revolving around my precious boston terrier.
Whoa ok this I guess did not come out how I thought it would...
I did not mean my friends, family or NBC
I took it to mean that you don't have time for ridiculous drama that you normally would have tolerated pre-kids.

I totally understand that. Although for me I found that most of my friends deserted me when I had DD.

@shepherdjel I get where you are coming from. Prior to Alex I was willing to take any and all shifts to help the other girls out, now that I have him, I don't think I would be taking any extra shifts to help anyone out.
  • I'm not super impressed with the communication at the tour company I work for (the ghost tours).  I still haven't heard back about tonight (long story short: they scheduled a tour even though I gave them a list of my unavailable days before I started and tonight is one of those days), and it's stressing me out.  Which is stupid, because I didn't screw up, but I also don't want them charging me for a missed tour when I told them time and again, both verbally and via email, that I can't do tonight.  They'd better not dock my pay (their policy for missed tours).  I've emailed, facebooked, called, and texted.  Nothing.  No communication.

I will send you one when I get home!  Today is her birthday, so maybe I can get an especially snazzy picture for you :)

Ugh! This is exactly why I haven't started it. I have to study for a professional certification exam and WIMOHB will probably take over my life once I start it. June 30th can't come soon enough.

Finally!  They finally contacted me to let me know they've rescheduled, and that I do not have a tour tomorrow (boo to the last part.  No tour = no $$).

  • @shepherdjel - If you were spending time listening to the problems of people who weren't your family or friends and doing random nice things for them, it's probably good that your focus has shifted.

@mrsjene - I thought you were unfriended too. I was ready to riot. #hairtriggertemper

    @caseylizzie @lauren20 - My 30s >>>>>>> My 20s.

My confession is that I wish I cared a tiny rat's arse about Outlander because the FOMO is so real.

  • Confession:  This week has been one of the craziest, surreal experiences of MY LIFE. Having a book out in the world that people can read, love, hate, debate, praise, rip apart, and analyze feels like standing naked beneath florescent lighting holding a box of wine and Krispy Kremes and asking people to judge me. Terrifying and completely liberating.

  • I know it's Sunday but I missed Friday.

We close on our new house in 9 days and we've barely packed anything. Not even all of the books because I keep running out of boxes. Haven't even started on the kitchen or movies or clothes. I have some random things like candles and extra sheets and purses packed but my books are taking up most of the good sized boxes we have.

And I got an Amazon package today. DH was not pleased lol.
