We are officially under contract for one of the lots we put an offer on!!  We are so excited, but also a little nervous because we are still getting it evaluated for site cost.  We are meeting with 3 builders tomorrow and getting some estimates, so we'll have a better idea then.  Please keep sending those awesome nestie vibes our way so that it will work out like we need it to.

    Well, we walked the lot with two builders on Saturday and it isn't going to work for us after all.  When H and I first saw it, we didn't go back far enough and missed that it has a very large dry creek bed running through the middle of the lot.  It's basically a mini canyon so it would be very expensive to fill it and build the correct foundation for a home.  So, we are terminating our contract today for that lot and are back to searching.

    There are a couple of other lots we are interested in, so we're hoping we'll be able to make one of them work.  We just started this journey and I am already so overwhelmed!!

    I'm sorry the lot wasn't good. Look on the bright side though, at least you didn't buy it and then find out about its issues.

    You'll find it! I agree with the others, at least you didn't get all the way through and then find out it would be expensive to build on!
