Hey ladies... How ya been?

Hey there ladies.  I haven't been around in quite some time.  Been not TTC these days so have been trying to stay away from things related.  Anywhoo, whats new?  Any exciting news?  We added a new furry friend to our family.  He is the cutest little thing EVER!!!!  A lil puppy He is awesome.  Pretty crazy with how much energy he has.  As soon as I figure out a way to upload a pic of the lil guy I sooo will.  :)

I hope everything is going well with everyone :)  xoxo

What kind of puppy did you get??  So fun!  So exciting!  :) Congratulations..  xo

We got a German shepherd pup. She's adorable and probably too smart for her own good. She's warming up to us now so the biting anything and everything has started up.

Your puppy is adorable!! I'm sure they would have awesome play dates :)

  • @bremae he is a springer spaniel. Great dogs.  :)  @simsk3887 omg YES the biting!  OUCH!  Those lil baby teeth.  She is definitely a cutie pie!  German shepards are smart dogs.  . And yes they would be great play dates... Oh ya, how old is she?

Love her football chew toy.  Our lil guy had one once.  But we have another dog, she is warming up to him.  Not a fan of his biting though. But she steals his toys.  His good ones too, with the squeaky sound.  Lol FX his biting stops soon.  haha

  • @simsk3887 and @cloudymeatballs12, both those pups are ADORABLE! Were they breeder buys or adoptions? I've got a soft spot for adoptions, but I'll always support a truly reputable dog breeder (you don't have to go into details, because I don't want to get grouchy if it was a breeder that doesn't live up to my standards, haha).

And if either of you ever want or need any training tips, I'm always here!! Training our Boxer when she was a pup was a breeze thanks to all the advice from others I got, and I'm always happy to pass it along!

  • @LuckyAngel07‌ - *just a warning, this got longer than I expected* We got her from a breeder we found on the AKC website. The lady was super sweet and this was the first litter for the mom. She said she'll only breed her once since she had 11 puppies and it's just not fair to her. She had a great setup for them and provided us with food, a ton of paperwork, and her vet record and AKC papers. We really liked her and will probably take Jasmine back for visits as she gets bigger.

As for training, so far we are crate training and she's doing well. We slept from 11:30 last night until almost 5 this morning. I'm hoping she'll play for an hour and then go back to bed as she did yesterday morning. She seems to know her crate is safe for her since yesterday she wasn't so sure of our new house and spent her day in there, door wide open, just taking it all in. Any tips you've got for whining and barking/crying when we leave would be amazing though. We put her in her crate, let her calm down before closing the door, and then walk away. When she starts making noise, we give a firm no from just out of eye sight. We do this once or twice and she tends to calm down and then we walk back into the room and just do a lap for her to see that we come back. We don't make eye contact or approach her though.
We thought this was going well until we got our landlord called on us for her crying/barking about an hour after we left. I feel bad that she's upset. Got anything for that?
