~3T Check In!~ BEWARE: Bitter Infertiles Inside!

Sorry it's late!! I was at a conference all day today with no chance to post!

If you have any changes to this list, wish to be removed, added, or have graduated (yay!), please shoot me a PM.

FYI: We don't want to exclude some ladies, but this is a check in for ladies who are unfortunately having trouble trying to conceive (TTTC=3T). If you've been trying for more than a year and/or have been diagnosed with any form of infertility OR are now pursuing adoption or have decided to remain childless following a 3T journey, you are welcome to join us.

Updates: Ok ladies... where are we at this week? Testing, Procedures, Appointments, Adoption updates, Life updates? What’s going on, etc. Let's hear all about it!

QOTWHow do you and DH handle conflict? Do you yell? Calmly talk it out? Silent treatment? All of the above?

Re: ~3T Check In!~ BEWARE: Bitter Infertiles Inside!

  • Updates: I am at peace with our delay now. I have my new FET calendar, and we'll still be able to go in August, as long as the tissue expels itself with my next period. GET OUT, you hear that, leftover tissue??---You aren't wanted here!

    QOTW:  I am a pouter. I get really quiet and refuse to talk.  Jimothy wants to talk calmly right away. We've actually been working on this in our therapy sessions. I am my mother.  Who gives silent treatment and then everything is fine. I operate in the same way.  Sometimes if I let it all pile up, I'll eventually end up yelling about something not related to the real issue.  Once I've had my fit, then I can calmly come back and talk about what really is bothering me.

  • @aimothy I hope there are no more delays
  • @Aimothy‌ FX for August!

    Update: none
    QOTW: we are somewhere between calmly talking and yelling. I start cleaning when I'm angry, and he gets quiet and reflective. Then we have it out, but it's always respectful.

  • @aimothy - fx that the left over tissues gets the hell out!

    Update: TWW sucks butt hole. Luckily we are on vacation now so maybe I won't think about it much.

    Qotw: DH usually gets a temper and fast and I am much more level headed. I let him do his rant and then I once he takes a breathe I rationalize whatever it is we are arguing over. If we strongly disagree on something I won't discuss it all at once, I will step away and then go back to the discussion later on.

  • Nothing going on here really.  Thinking about fostering.  We will see.

    QOTWHow do you and DH handle conflict? Do you yell? Calmly talk it out? Silent treatment? All of the above?  So we usually just don't talk for a bit.  We have only had one yelling fight, and that was years ago.  It was awful and we swore to never do it again.

  • @aimothy Hope there are no more delays!

    @Sewilson33‌ Good luck! I hope you get your positive this weekend.

    Update: see other post

    QOTW: DH is very calm and I get quiet. I have a much shorter fuse though and will lash out at him when I am frustrated. I'm trying to get better at this. Once I have my "moment" then I'm fine again. I just usually need a little space and then am good to talk about it.

    @Sewilson33, FX this will be your last 2 WW for a long time :)

    @Aimothy, I'm glad that you're at peace with your delay.  I hope so hard that August brings you amazing news.

    @abt8113, I'm so very sorry :(

    @amandaf6383, you're looking incredible.  The difference 15lbs can make is amazing.  Have people IRL started noticing?

    @Poppies717, I'm so sorry...fuck that neighbor.

  • @Aimothy - FX for the all clear this next cycle, so you can move on in August!

    @Sewilson33 - Hope you enjoy your vacation and get good news at the end of your 2WW!

    @Amandaf6383 - Great work, girl! Keep it up! You're doing AWESOME!

    @Sweetpotato123 - Hooray! August can't come soon enough!

    @Poppies717 - I'm sorry that you are dealing with that yet again, especially with the week you're having already! Hugs to you.

    @Xan921 - Awesome news! So excited for you! C'mon AF show up, now that you're finally wanted!

    QOTW: DH is a bit of a drama queen and tends to get upset much much easier than I do. Unfortunately, my response typically is to laugh at him (I'm not sure if it's a nervous thing or what), but that doesn't usually help things. So, I end up leaving the room until I can compose myself. If we are disagreeing about something, we usually talk it out pretty calmly. If I'm pissed, since it happens so rarely and usually for a good reason, DH is pretty good about "fixing" things. I think we've only yelled at each other in an argument like twice in the 6 1/2 years we've been together.

    P.S. In case you haven't noticed, I am planning to stick around to provide support and love to my 3T friends! Hope that's okay!  :x

    @OceanHutt, is there a particular reason they won't give them to you over the phone?  Do you think it'd make a difference if your Dh was the one calling and asking for them?  That really stinks.

    Stress eating is a hard thing to over come.  I still struggle with it myself.  Food just seems to make things better in that moment.
