Re: Getting Healthy Check In!

  • 1) Goals? Lose 40lbs for IUI

    2) How has your progress been this week? Ummm HORRIBLE! I totally gave in to the long weekend temptations. Laziness and bad eating. I do NOT want to weigh in on Friday!! I was so mad at myself but I woke up this morning and am right back on track so I'm trying to be kind to myself.

    3) What is your "plan" (diet, workout regime, etc)? Body by Vi & working out.

    4) Best part of your week? Spending the day at Six Flags with my hubs and best friend. We were there open to close and I was like a kid again - so awesome!!

    5) Worst part of your week? At said Six Flags trips, I didn't go on some rides I REALLY wanted to go on because I was terrified that they would tell me I was too fat to ride. I told Tom and my friend and BIL that I wasn't feeling well and then cried while they were on. I vowed then and there that that would NEVER happen again!!

QOTW: Post a picture of when you were least happy with your body compared to a picture of your body now. What makes you the most proud of it?
So these are both my least and most proud. I AW'd them in 3T Check In but the least fave is the picture on Day 1 and looking at it made me think: Holy SHIT - no wonder they won't help put a baby in my ute! The one I'm most proud of is the most recent because I can tell my hard work is starting to pay off:

    1) Goals? Lose 60lbs by Feb.

    2) How has your progress been this week? Surprising.  I lost a pound, which is a surprise because I ate crap all week and only got in a few shakes.  I guess all the walking sightseeing helped.

    3) What is your "plan" (diet, workout regime, etc)? Body by Vi shakes

    4) Best part of your week? We had a great time with DH's niece and nephew.

    5) Worst part of your week? Coming back to work today :( I like my job, I'd just prefer to win the lottery and not work.

QOTW: Post a picture of when you were least happy with your body compared to a picture of your body now. What makes you the most proud of it?

This isn't my body at it's "best", but it's the best I have on FB. (I'm in the black and white - the others are my niece, sister-in-law and sister).  I felt good about myself then.

  • 1) Goals? To gain strength and feel confident about my body!

    2) How has your progress been this week? Last week was a little rough. I am totally an emotional eater and wanted to eat everything unhealthy. I only allowed myself to eat chips that were processed even though it did overeat on other things (like Lara bars).

    3) What is your "plan" (diet, workout regime, etc)? Eat clean unprocessed foods. Zumba 2x week, strength training 4x and walking daily.

    4) Best part of your week? Not eating unhealthy for the weekend and keeping myself in check for the most part. I also ate chocolate peanut butter "nice cream" which is frozen bananas. It was definitely a nice treat while not eating anything processed or sweetened.

    5) Worst part of your week? The need from the RE, and still overeating and not wanting to workout.

QOTW: Post a picture of when you were least happy with your body compared to a picture of your body now. What makes you the most proud of it? The picture if me by myself was taken 7 years ago when I was at my heaviest. I hate looking at pictures from back then! The other picture is derby this year. I'm in the blue dress. I just felt really good in the picture and was so happy with the way I looked that day. It's not my skinniest (3-4years ago was), but it's getting back there.

  • 1) Goals? Lose 20, so far lost about 3

    2) How has your progress been this week? I didn't do so well.  I ate horrible over the weekend and missed a couple of workout days.

    3) What is your "plan" (diet, workout regime, etc)? T25 and clean eating.

    4) Best part of your week? I lost another pound!

    5) Worst part of your week? Eating crappy and missing some workouts :-/  Gotta get back on track!

QOTW: Post a picture of when you were least happy with your body compared to a picture of your body now. What makes you the most proud of it? I don't have one on my work computer, but will try to find one later.

This happened to me once.  I got on a ride and couldn't do up the safety harness.  I was mortified and walked off bawling.  I told DH to stay because it was a really cool ride, but he wouldn't of course.  I haven't been on a ride since.

    Also, you look fantastic!

  • Goals: tone and strengthen

I've been eating healthy but this vacation has been a bunch of carbs which isn't great.

I have walked every day at least 2 miles every day.

Best part of the week was my walk yesterday where I ended at the beach and just lounge on the boardwalk for a half hour before turning back around.

  • I finally got past my plateau :-) I'm only down .6 pounds this week but it's an improvement. My low point was that we went for ice cream with some of my students and the band director after practice the other night and it made me sick the entire next day. The high was seeing the scale finally below 207! We leave for a cruise on the 25th and I really want to be below 200.

  • 1) Goals? Keep my snacking at a minimum.  Summer is the worst for me, because I'm home by 2 pm each day and eat "lunch" at 10:30 at work. I'm starving.

    2) How has your progress been this week? I maintained over the holiday. I'm okay with that.

    3) What is your "plan" (diet, workout regime, etc)? I need to be better about making healthy choices this week. We are not eating out at all this week.

    4) Best part of your week? Spending time with family over the 4th.

    5) Worst part of your week? Going back to work today?

You ladies are all so inspiring!!!

    1) Goals? Lose 86lbs.

    2) How has your progress been this week? It was really good for the most part. Kind of ate crap on Saturday and Sunday but I didn't go too far over my calorie limit. Down 2 more lbs though!

    3) What is your "plan" (diet, workout regime, etc)? Track food on MFP. I made myself a challenge this month to do some kind of exercise every day. I've been doing pretty good except for missing Sunday. I'm not hating on myself for it though because that day was kinda crazy.

    4) Best part of your week? Seeing a 2 lb loss!

    5) Worst part of your week? Feeling like crap after eating junk all weekend. My tummy wasn't happy with me.

QOTW: Post a picture of when you were least happy with your body compared to a picture of your body now. What makes you the most proud of it?

The before picture was from a graduation open house last summer. I was around my highest weight. Man oh man...when I saw that someone had tagged in that picture on FB, I had the strongest urge to untag. My posture and my facial expression are horrible too. The second is from 4th of July. I know it's a face picture and not a full body but I chose it because I can see a difference in my face(even if no one else can, lol) but not really my body yet. I usually start gaining/losing weight in my face before anywhere else. I'm at a point now where I actually like taking pictures again because my double chin isn't quite so evident.

  • 1) Goals? - Well, now it's changed to lose 50 lbs by January...we're going on a cruise! As of this morning, I'm -5.2 lbs.

    2) How has your progress been this week? Very good! Other than 4th of July, I've stayed on track. I walked every day and even went on a bike ride. It's a big change from me from just hanging out on the couch of the past few months.

    3) What is your "plan" (diet, workout regime, etc)? Watch my calorie intake and walk every day. I hope to fit in a bike ride this coming weekend.

    4) Best part of your week? Ummm...I'm coming up blank. It was all good (except for below).

    5) Worst part of your week? I had to work on Friday. It was completely unexpected and, frankly, pissed me off that the construction people have been jerking us around. Not to mention I had to buy clothes.

QOTW: Post a picture of when you were least happy with your body compared to a picture of your body now. What makes you the most proud of it?

...and when I got down to my smallest (2012).

This is me on our honeymoon in October...I'm not proud of having gained back so much of what I worked so hard to achieve. DH still says I'm beautiful, but I don't see it anymore. It actually makes me upset and sick that I did that to myself.

  • 1) Goals?
get healthy and lose some weight/establish a fitness and healthy eating routine before TTC

    2) How has your progress been this week?
OK on the eating front, but didn't make it to the gym at all and have been not keeping up with my water intake as much as I should be

    3) What is your "plan" (diet, workout regime, etc)?
drink ~4L water/day, swim 2-3 times /wk for 30-40 mins, eat more veg and fruits and less processed crap

    4) Best part of your week?
hanging out with friends for 4th of July, BBQ and drinks :)

    5) Worst part of your week?
    dealing with dumbass mechanics

QOTW: Post a picture of when you were least happy with your body compared to a picture of your body now. What makes you the most proud of it?
I don't have a pic of me at my worst (I wasn't that much heavier than I am now, but I was way worse in shape).

My initial goal was 100lbs, which I've hit, so now I'm just kind of taking things week by week.  I haven't really established a new goal yet.  My nurse at the RE advised me not to do any intense workouts while I'm doing stims/injects which I start tonight so I don't expect to lose much weight in the coming weeks.

    2) How has your progress been this week? It was pretty good.  I didn't lose but I didn't gain so I was pleased, especially since I let myself relax a bit on the diet over the weekend.

    3) What is your "plan" (diet, workout regime, etc)?  I eat a really low calorie diet and work out 5 times a week.

    4) Best part of your week? Finding out that I get to start stims/injects for our first IUI cycle today!

    5) Worst part of your week? Getting a $1300 estimate to get the Check Engine codes fixed on Dh's truck so he can pass emissions.

    2) How has your progress been this week? Not bad, I wouldn't say that I prioritized healthy eating and fitness, but I didn't medicate my stress with nacho cheese.
    3) What is your "plan" (diet, workout regime, etc)?Drink a lot less alcohol, try to eat as much plant-based food as possible.
    4) Best part of your week?4th of July; our social plans were pushed back to the 6th, so on the 4th I skipped alcohol and did yoga.
    5) Worst part of your week?Totally, regrettably drunk on Thursday night.
QOTW: Post a picture of when you were least happy with your body compared to a picture of your body now. What makes you the most proud of it?
No current picture, but I'm probably at my least happy body-wise right now. I'm actually very proud of the fact that I'm not that worked up about it. Sure, I want to be more fit, and there are clothes that I just won't wear at the moment, but it's not a disaster and I don't want to let myself stress about it. Ten years ago, that would have been very difficult for me.
