I confess I'm having a really hard time "enjoying" my baby. Don't get me wrong, I love him unconditionally. But he's had such a difficult time with the no breastfeeding and now reflux and super upset tummy ALL the time. He never goes to sleep for me unless I put him in the carseat and take him out of the house. He's a perfect angel for anyone else, he doesn't even spit up when others are looking after him. He looks at me and then starts howling. I feel like my kid hates me and I feel like I'm failing as a parent. And now I'm crying on the bus.
My mom has almost the exact same story about when I was a newborn. She is a great parent and I love her, and I'm sure your kid is/will be the same way :)  I think that's perfectly normal.  You're a great mom!!

  • @snuff9861 a friend of mine who's baby sounds just like yours...he also ended up with an almost full body rash, the pediatrician kept making her cut out food and then adding back in. She went to see a holistic practicioner and they recommended probiotics (Udo's choice infant probiotic--not sure if they sell it online anywhere). Its a powder, she got it at a health food store and she just mixes a little into his breastmilk in the AM and there has been a complete turn around. The drugs that they gave her during her c-section affected the baby's stomach. Its something to look into trying before switching to prescription formula.

I was just going to suggest probiotics. Definitely something worth looking into.
