  • My egg retrieval was yesterday. We got 36 eggs and were thrilled. Only 10 fertilized. I'm shocked and disappointed and can't quite believe it. Last year we got 14 eggs and 11 fertilized. I don't get it.

The remaining embies will be tested on Day 5. I'll know more on Monday/Tuesday. Statistically, we will still have half on Monday, and 60% should be good. So statistically, three.

Transfer, if we have some, won't happen until this fall.
IUI - BFP! Baby boy born still - August 2012
    IVF - BFP - miscarriage June 2013
    FET - BFN
    FET - BFN
    Switched clinics
IVF with PGD - three embryos created, all healthy - July 2014
FET - transferred two embryos (boy and girl) - Nov 2014 - BFP!
    Baby Boy born July 2015

  • I'm sorry only 10 out of 36 retrieved eggs fertilized, ILRV, but that's still a great number of fertilized eggs.

I'll be keeping everything crossed that they do well in the next few crucial days and that you have some amazing little embies to freeze for this fall.

  • Everything crossed that those embies grow like crazy! FX everything goes well from here on out!
  • I am sorry your numbers were less than ideal, @iloveredvino.  Hopefully, your ten are awesome rockstar embryos! There is nothing reassuring about having to get this far and having pisspoor results.  Hang in there, and know that we are all thinking happy thoughts for strong vinoembryos. :)
