  • 5 to 10 minutes depending on traffic. It is the only perk about being in this house.

  • Less than 5 minutes.  Closer to about 3.  It'll be cut down by about a minute when we move into the house.

1 hour.  Hopefully when we move next year it will be at least half of that.  The price I pay for living in the country!

  • When I was in grad school, it was about 5 with no traffic...the summer they decided to do road work on all the roads surrounding the med center at the same time, it took at least 30 minutes!

Now, when I go to job networking events, it takes me about 30-45 min to get to the middle of DC...depending on how smoothly the metro is running.

  • It takes me about 15-20 minutes average to get to and from work.  (25-30 in the winter)  On traffic free days I can make it in ten, because I have a lead foot.
  • 25 miles, 40-50 mins with traffic and getting through the gates. If a bridge closes for an accident I might as well stay where I'm at.

  • 23 miles.  If we leave early enough, we can get there in about 35 minutes.  In traffic, it'll take at least an hour.  Same thing for the afternoons.  That's why we leave the house at 6:20 every morning.

  • It's about 7 miles and 20 minutes which includes the 5 minute walk from the parking garage. It sucks working in a city.

  • 5 miles. It takes me about 15 minutes depending on the traffic. One of the ongoing arguments H and I have about buying a house is that I stubbornly don't want to leave our current neighborhood because my commute is so good.

  • About 20 miles and 30 mins. Luckily work pays for my toll road or it could easily be over an hr each way and I would have quit long ago!!

  • 15-20 minutes. But there's about to be construction out the wazoo, so I'm dreading that it might be longer.

  • mine is about 3 miles, or 5 minutes from my house.  I could theoretically bike to work but i'd have to ride on the shoulder of the road, which is gravel.

  • My commute is 25 minutes to work. H works in same town so we carpool I to work to help save on gas.
  • Not sure of the mileage, but it takes me about 20 minutes to get to daycare, approx. 5 min to unload DD and let my provider know if she ate, pooped, etc. and then it's about 5 min to work from there depending on bus stops!
