When I was in grad school, it was about 5 with no traffic...the summer they decided to do road work on all the roads surrounding the med center at the same time, it took at least 30 minutes!
Now, when I go to job networking events, it takes me about 30-45 min to get to the middle of DC...depending on how smoothly the metro is running.
It takes me about 15-20 minutes average to get to and from work. (25-30 in the winter) On traffic free days I can make it in ten, because I have a lead foot.
23 miles. If we leave early enough, we can get there in about 35 minutes. In traffic, it'll take at least an hour. Same thing for the afternoons. That's why we leave the house at 6:20 every morning.
5 miles. It takes me about 15 minutes depending on the traffic. One of the ongoing arguments H and I have about buying a house is that I stubbornly don't want to leave our current neighborhood because my commute is so good.

mine is about 3 miles, or 5 minutes from my house. I could theoretically bike to work but i'd have to ride on the shoulder of the road, which is gravel.
Not sure of the mileage, but it takes me about 20 minutes to get to daycare, approx. 5 min to unload DD and let my provider know if she ate, pooped, etc. and then it's about 5 min to work from there depending on bus stops!
If I leave at 645 (when I'm supposed to) 14 min. If i leave at 655, 18 min. if I hear Matt Lauer, I'm SOL because it's 7am and now it takes 24min...I'm supposed to be in my classroom on duty at 7:26.
