FYI: We don't want to exclude some ladies, but this is a check in for ladies who are unfortunately having trouble trying to conceive (TTTC=3T). If you've been trying for more than a year and/or have been diagnosed with any form of infertility OR are now pursuing adoption or have decided to remain childless following a 3T journey, you are welcome to join us.

Updates: Ok ladies... where are we at this week? Testing, Procedures, Appointments, Adoption updates, Life updates? What’s going on, etc. Let's hear all about it!

-Abt81813 - Graves Disease DX; Still testing for PCOS; Clomid cycle to start soon

--Aimothy: TTC since October 2009, DX: PCOS & Unexplained MFI, Two IVF cycles; 1 loss.

- amandaf6383: TTC since July 2012. DX: PCOS. On Metformin. Clomid & getting healthy before pursuing IUI/IVF

-brij2006: TTC since 4/13 DX: PCOS 5/13 (long, anovulatory cycles); further treatment Winter 2015

-Flamingo86: TTC since July 2012, 4 losses. Dx: MTHFR, clotting issues, otherwise unexplained. Considering adoption.

- FutureMrsWright2012 - TTX since March 2012. DX: low AMH and decreased BAF count. 5/2013 - 2 unsuccessful Clomid + IUI cycles, and now waiting to start IVF in Summer 2014.

-IloveRedVino: DX:Primary dx PCOS, secondary dx unexplained infertility. One stillbirth, one miscarriage, two failed IVF cycles. Exploring new options

-nfp147: No longer actively TTC but still amazing support to 3T family and deeply loved.

-OceanHutt: TTC unofficially since 2011, officially since 2012. DX MFI. Meeting with RE for IVF. Completing testing and getting healthy prior to treatment.

-poppies717 - TTC #1 since Feb. '12; dx - unexplained; After two rounds of IVF and one loss, we are now pursuing DIA

-rccola1981: Dx endometriosis, mild pcos and male factor. Moving towards foster-adopt.

-Rockabye: TTC since Dec 2008, DX: PCOS with no ovulation at all. 2 failed Clomid/IUI cycles. Injectables April 2013 = BFN.

-Seahorsey: TTC since October 2008, DX:Unexplained IF with failed IUIs and IVFs

-Sewilson33 - TTC since Dec. 2012; SA & BW came back great; Next step: HSG & RE

-Sweetpotato123 - Diagnosed with PCOS 8/12. 4 unsuccessful rounds of Clomid; 6 femara/follistim IUI cycles with 2 chemical pregnancies and 1 loss just shy of 6 weeks. IVF scheduled for late May

-Xan921: TTC since March 2012. DX irregular and anovulatory cycles; also DX with Complex Endometrial Hyperplasia.

-Ystaalenburg: TTC since February 2012 DX: PCOS @ 16; Currently taking break after 2 failed treatment cycles.

I had a cyst rupture Saturday night. Not fun. On a good note, I started provera last night so once AF comes, we are about 6 weeks away from our first transfer. I am so excited and ready.

QOTD- yes, I believe in spirits and such but haven't encountered one. I don't think I really want to .

QOTW: no to ghosts. I do believe in angels and demons though and I do believe I have encountered an angel before. The short of it, some girlfriends and I were in NYC for a school trip in college (helping with habitat and a local church), and we had evenings free. We were navigating the subway one night to try and find the Statue of Liberty. We were young and pretty naïve (Texans in the big city lol) and were semi-lost and confused but laughing about it and having a great time. Some creepy middle age man came up and chatting with us. He was kind of weird and sort of aggressive. He said he would take us to the statue and to just follow him. Again, we were stupid and naïve and very un-suspicious people. He jumped on the subway and was beckoning us to come on. We were heading that way and an older woman tightly grabbed my arm, pulled me to her and said "You need to lose him and you need to lose him NOW". I turned my head to yell at my friends to wait, with her still holding onto my arm, then turned my head back to thank her, and she was GONE. Like, NO WHERE in the subway station... and this happened within probably 6 seconds, MAX, and she had just been holding my arm not 2 seconds prior. Thankfully, the doors were closing and he tried to get off when he saw we weren't getting on, but he was too late. It still gives me chills that she disappeared. The station wasn't that crowded so it's not like she just disappeared in the crowd either.

No real update here this week. My period last week was super light, so I'm preparing myself that the tissue will still be there at Monday's check. Which will mean a D&C and a push back of my August Transfer. Why, when I want a heavy period, does my body say, "Oh, hey Aimee. Let's just spot this month."??

QOTW: No, I don't believe in ghosts. I like to believe that family and friends who have gone on before me are looking out for me.....but I think it's all in my head.

Update: I wrote about this on Monday, but for the third cycle in a row, I've had "normal" cycles! 34 days! Before they were anywhere from 27-36 days, so this is kind of nice. I'm not doing anything about it (consciously), but I'm glad my body is "working." I have no illusions that we'll be the exception to the rule about "not trying."

QOTW: not ghosts, really, but signs from loved ones, yes. I have a story. In June my sister arranged for us to go to a medium with my parents in Salem, MA. It was a big event, and we didn't have any contact, but it was still cool. On the way home, I was thinking how disappointed I was. I really wanted to hear from my gram (who adopted my uncle) and have her tell me that adoption IS our path to parenthood. Then I was feeling the guilty for being selfish, so I said to myself, "Well, at least that family was able to hear from their son, Jesse." Rick Springfield's "Jesse's Girl" came on the radio a few seconds later. I got chills. So I said, out loud, "Okay, gram. What do you want to say?"
Then an alert popped up on my phone. I made an alert almost 2 years ago that reminds me every day that our child will be "Worth the wait." That's what showed up. I had to pull over because I was shaking so hard. It was a bunch of coincidences, sure, but I believe they were lined up by my gram to tell me everything will be okay.

No update here, of course, but I had the weirdest PR/LR dream this week. I dreamt that we decided to tell DH's parents that we were pregnant knowing that we would have to tell them we lost the baby a couple months later. What the eff?

QOTW: No, I don't believe in ghosts, spirits or anything like that. However, I do find it very comforting when I dream about someone who has passed away. Anytime it has happened, it's a positive dream and I wake up feeling very peaceful.

Update: We did our IUI this morning. Sperm count was 17 million post wash and I had one mature follie measuring 20mm on Tuesday. I am scheduled to go in on August 8th for a blood test. After years of TTC with not even a small chance due to no ovulation, this is officially our first 2 WW.

QOTW: I believe in ghosts 100%. I have seen two ghosts in my life time. One was at my Mom's house and another was at a tavern that my friend owns.

The first time I saw a ghost I was 16 or 17. I had always gotten a creepy feeling in my Mom's house from the moment that we moved in but never thought too much about it. One day, in the middle of the afternoon I was home by myself and I was downstairs in the finished basement in the bathroom. It's a split level house so the 'basement' isn't a creepy basement because it's partially above ground. Anyway, I was in the bathroom washing my face and I looked in the mirror and saw a little boy sitting on the chair across the room. He had a blonde bowl cut and had on blue overalls. I immediately turned around and no one was there. I remember being so scared that I grabbed my car keys and left the house without even putting shoes or a bra on. I drove to my boyfriend's house and refused to go back home until my parents got home. I didn't tell my family about this because I didn't want them thinking I was just scared to be home alone; at that age I loved when they'd go away for the day or even the weekend and I'd have the house all to myself and I didn't want that to end.

About a year after that I was spending the weekend at my Dad's and I received a call from my Mom at 11pm at night and she sounded upset. My step-dad was away for the weekend and she was asking me to please come home. She told me that she was scared to be by herself because she was in the basement craft room and as she was walking out into the hallway she saw a little boy with blonde hair and blue overalls run past her up the steps. I had chills go all up and down my body and still get them as I type this. I then told my Mom what I saw a year before and our descriptions were identical. My Mom and I both feel like we see glimpses of things out of the corner of our eyes from time to time in her house still to this day, but neither of us have seen the little boy again.

My second experience seeing a ghost was when I was at a local tavern when I was around 22. My friend's family owns it and she used to close up on Monday nights. Almost every Monday night I'd go sit at the bar and keep her company and help her close up so that one of the kitchen guys didn't have to stay late since the kitchen closed earlier than the bar; it made her feel safe and I enjoyed the time catching up. We were sitting at the bar chatting because all of the customers had left and I saw a man walk from the fountain soda machine back into the kitchen. I asked her which one of the kitchen guys was still there because I thought they had all left. She confirmed they all left about 30 minutes before hand. We waited a few minutes to see if we heard anything or if someone was just messing with us, but there was no one. We walked back into the kitchen and it was empty; both the back door and the front door were always in our sight so we know no one would have run in or out. Her stepfather who originally owned the tavern passed away from a heart attack in the office there years before and she said from time to time she'll think she sees or hears him there and that objects move on their own now and then.

Update: I had my baseline ultrasound today and everything looked good! I start Lupron tonight, and go back of the 3rd!

QOTW: I believe in ghosts/spirits and angels. I was at my grandmother's house when she died. She was home and had in home hospice care. Before my dad woke us up to give us the news (it was in the middle of the night), I felt her kiss me and whisper "everything will be okay." There was no way that she could have walked to me and said this, and it had to have been around the time she died because not long after my dad woke us up.

About a year later, I finally told me mom about it (it was her mother). She just looked at me blankly, and then told me a story about how my grandmother used to say the same thing when her family members passed. My mom had that happen to her when her grandmother died. She told her mom after my grandmother was upset because she wasn't comforted by her mom when she died. It's so strange to me that all three of us had the same experience with our grandmothers, and nothing was ever said until after it happened.

I don't have any real update. Still losing weight. I can't wait to finally be at the goal and go back to the RE and get started for real.

QOTW: I 100000% believe in ghosts and spirits. I have definitely been in houses that have been haunted. I've never seen one, though.
