Re: what are we obligated to do?

  • Thanks! for right now we've got good excuses to stay in New England for holidays as my 87 year old grandmother and 88 year old grandfather are both attending Thanksgiving and Christmas festivities with my family :) South West flies out of Manchester...so it's always nice to fly that way, when possible :)

  • You could always be like my sister, I have seen my niece who is 16 ten times.  She was born in Denver, then they lived in rural New Mexico (Philmont Boy Scout Ranch), now she lives in Cary, NC.  My parents and brother tend to travel to them to see them more often.  I hate visiting relatives because I don't like interrupting other people's schedules so I haven't seen them locally.

Now that we have our own LO, my sister would like us to travel to see her at least every few years and the last time we talked about this, I told her I would see what we could do for a long weekend next year.  MW and I really hate to travel by car, it is roughly a 8 to 10 hour drive mainly just down I-77 from where I live.

This has to be a compromise between all parties.
