Hello everyone! I believe I know a large portion of you as I've been on GP for over 2 1/2 years but for those I don't know here is some information about how I got here.
My Dh and I have been married for almost 4 years. In March of 2012 we decided to officially start trying. My cycles were completely irregular and temping showed that I never ovulated. I went to my obgyn who told me to lose weight, that it'd fix my problems (it didn't). This past October after losing 80lbs I was still being told that I weighed too much by my obgyn so we moved to an RE in October of 2013.
We went through all of the testing; Dh's came back normal and mine did for the most part other than the fact that I don't ovulate and also during a saline sonogram a uterine polyp was found. I had a hysteroscopy and D&C to remove the polyp in December of 2013. The pathology report from the D&C showed that I had Complex Endometrial Hyperplasia with atypia (pre-cancerous cells). I was treated for 3 months then had an endometrial biopsy which showed the hyperplasia was still there. I was treated for another 3 months and had another biopsy...the hyperplasia was gone!
I headed back to the RE in the beginning of July, hyperplasia free and minus over 100lbs that I had lost, and we jumped right into our first IUI cycle.
I stimmed for 15 days and just when I thought it wasn't going to work for us, I had one measurable follie; that night I did the trigger shot and 36 hours later we did our first IUI. 12 days after the IUI I started getting really faint positive htp's that got darker each day. My first beta was only 47 which one of the nurses at the RE's told me was really low and could mean it was a chemical pregnancy but I went in today for my second beta and it jumped to 137! My nurse said it is a wonderful number and we're right on track. I go back in for additional bloodwork on Wednesday and Friday and if my numbers continue to rise then we'll schedule our first ultrasound.
As of today I am 4 weeks 4 days pregnant and I am so incredibly thrilled and thankful to finally be able to join you all!
