Well I have a half day today (yay!) so I'll probably run some errands and nap after work. Today is the Feast of the Assumption of Mary, so DH and I will go to Mass tonight, then grab dinner somewhere.
Tomorrow I'm going to the Miranda Lambert concert with my college roommates! I'm really excited. They have babies and don't live super close to me, so I don't see them all that often.
Sunday will be typical chores: grocery shopping, meal prepping, cleaning, budget meeting.
My parents are at the Iowa State Fair. I planned on going but my sister is throwing up constantly right now. I would feel terrible saying, "Oh you're exhausted and pukey, I don't care, take care of the farm by yourself."
DH won his league for softball so they are competing for state championship this weekend. One of the guys on the team's 3 year old son broke his femur at a tournament last weekend. He just slipped and it broke, didn't seem like a break was possible. Anyway, it turns out his femur was hollow and had a tumor inside of it. They get test results soon, hopefully it's not something too bad. They are playing for this little boy and they gave him their trophy from last night for winning their division.
Today I'm going grocery shopping for our cottage trip and then working in the afternoon.
Saturday is my cousin's wedding in the evening so I'm hoping to sneak in some loads of laundry before we have to leave.
Sunday we are leaving for a whole week at the cottage There's no cable or internet so we are looking forward to just relaxing at the beach, fishing, reading and just spending time together.
I won't be back home until the following Saturday, so I hope you all have a great week!
Today - H's aunt, uncle & cousin are stopping by today on there way up to oneonta to see the baby. I'm going to attempt putting together a bulk freezer meal today that I couldn't get to yesterday. We pick up my mom from the bus station tonight, she staying for the weekend to spend time with Tyrion.
Saturday- one month pics for Tyrion (free from photographer since he didn't cooperate at newborn session and she couldn't get number of images promised ). After we are all headed to Ribfest as long as T is cooperating.
Sunday- one sister may come up for the day. Hoping my mom wants to help prep a million freezer meals. We still have a bunch from our May cooking day but I'd rather build supply before it's all gone.
Nothing too exciting this weekend. We have some errands to run tonight and some chores to take care of over the weekend. Hopefully, I'll find some more jobs to apply for and I can work on some cover letters over the weekend.
@ramstein1027 I just saw her last weekend!!! DH surprised me with pit tickets so we were thisclose!!! She even touched my hand!!!! She is awesome! Have so much fun!!
@goatlady12 are you from IA too??? How have I missed this the last, say 3 years?!! I love the state fair. I haven't been in years since moving away. That is terrible to hear about your friend's boy!

I'm from Minnesota, but we show at the IA State Fair every year. I love that fair. I'm really sad I have to stay back this year because we always have so much fun, and eat soooo much pork. We actually do MN, WI and IA state fairs.
Laying around for the most part. Our floors desperately need to be vacuumed and mopped, so hopefully we'll get to that this weekend. Sunday are O's newborn pictures, I can't wait! I wanted to go to mass this weekend, pretty much just to brag to the old ladies, but I don't think I'm up for it yet.
H goes back to work on Monday so I want to lay around, just the 3 of us, as much as possible before he goes. I've really loved having him home with us, he's been amazing.
Tonight is grocery shopping. Tomorrow DH is going to some RC plane event, so DS and I will just chill around the house. Sunday is dinner with my parents.
I got done with work today at 1 due to a TON of overtime, so now I'm just hanging around the house waiting for H to get home. It has been a rather interesting day to say the least just based around the fact that my boss finally let our one coworker go...on his birthday.
Tomorrow--no idea. I think we were looking at possibly hitting up a few of the antique shops out our way. A few are participating in a promo right now where if you buy something at one shop, you get a discount at one of the other ones with your receipt. It'd work out well. H can get his cameras or razors or whatever he's into this week and I can get records.
Sunday--my niece's birthday party. I'm waiting for some sort of family debacle to go down. It is probably good H is not going with me since he is the more outspoken one out of the two of us.
Tonight - being lazy. H is stuck out on the road today - so I'm thinking bath and a movie for me.
Saturday - breastfeeding class in the morning. Then going to ikea in Philly to get the crib and other odds and ends.
Sunday - breakfast, grocery shopping, then parents house. I'd also like to get some stuff done around the house. Mostly tell H what u need him to do because I can't wait (scrub tub, give dog a bath...).
My parents are driving here tonight and will stay until Monday or Tuesday. H's mom is also going to be stopping by on Sunday to see J. I think we will take my parents into DC to do some touristy stuff at some point.

Tonight we are having some friends over and then going out for a bday.
Tomorrow is probably house stuff and my best friend is coming in town for a wedding, so I'll see her briefly.
Sunday I'll probably have to come in and work due to this deadline! Ugg
